13. TIPS FOR SLIDESHARE SUCCESS
Remember that on SlideShare, there is no speaker presenting the
slides. Your slideshow is not just the backdrop of your presentation
anymore, it is the focus
Beware of too many words!
Design your slides so that users can consume the main theme of the
slide in three seconds or less - any longer and there is too much
information
Having trouble cutting out information? If all the information on your
slide is necessary, consider breaking it up into more slides with less
text on each
Visuals, visuals, lots of visuals!
14. TIPS FOR SLIDESHARE SUCCESS
If your PowerPoint slideshow looks different when you upload it to
SlideShare, try uploading it as a PDF instead
For businesses: make your presentations private and share the
secret link with VIP members / customers only as an “exclusive”
offer
Include links in your slides to increase engagement
Write intriguing descriptions for your slideshows
