1. ANNUAL DAY SPEECH
A warm welcome to all – distinguished chief guest, correspondent ma’am, principle and teachers, and my dear friends
and the parents of such wonderful and talented children. Finally the auspicious day has arrived; to put an end to our
eager waiting and the tireless preparations for this event. I am a little surprised at how a person like me, a person who
has loved each and every inch of this stage, but so hesitant to come up here and speak has got the courage now. With
great pleasure and satisfaction, I stand before you to deliver my welcome speech for our most awaited annual day.
It is indeed a pleasant evening, all soaked in the celebration mood, ambience and the chirping of my fellow fri ends.
Thank you all for providing this enthusiasm and ‘spirit of togetherness’.
I express my deep sense of gratitude to our Correspondent Ma’am for lending her helping hand in every right path we
chose. It is a day of rejoice because we will recall together a lot of touching stories we had experienced in the last
_____ years. It is also a day for our old students, parents and friends to know more about the recent and future
development of the school. Our students have always been known as students of diversified capabilities and I am sure
you will agree after your visit today.
We are at the junction where a chapter closes and a new one begins. It is overwhelming that we now count ____ years
from the inception of the school. What a journey it has been – with each year having its own triumphs and struggles.
We grew from - _____ students to 880 and ___ staff members to ____ now and still counting. It was really an
adventurous journey.
The year 2012 - 13 has been a defining year in many ways. The _______ cricket team won the _____ and our school got
its 10or11 affiliation. The similarity between the two is that, both would not have been possible without team effort.
That is the most valuable asset of students of __________ who have always teamed up to solve problems and to enjoy
happiness as a team. The year as every other, was exciting, challenging and invigorating. Some days were endless
stream of emergencies and urgencies which came unannounced. Each giving scope to learn, question, to reflect and
introspect. As we get ready to take on the year, we welcome new trysts, new questions, new problems, new solutions
and new heights.
And while we do that, we remember that…
“On every blade of grass, there is an angel sitting, saying time and again, Grow! Grow!”
(more about school’s development n some more points)
At the end, we know, we have only grown stronger and wiser.
The happiness and satisfaction of the school faculty and students shows ‘all is well” or ‘almost all is well’.
Thank you for your continued trust and faith.
We set our own standards, strived to reach them and elevated ourselves to higher planes. The learning, the evolving
and the effort will never cease.
I once again welcome you all this wonderful annual day function. Everyone will be surprised by watching what is going
to come on stage. I would like to thank everyone for giving me this opportunity. Sit back and enjoy the show.
