Duties and functions of different organization IATA-: {International air transport association}     history and organization -: The international air transport association was founded by the group of airlines in 1945 to help meet the problems anticipated in the expansion of civil air services after the Second World War. It is the successor in functions to the previous international air traffic association, initiated at The Hague at the very dawn of regular air transport in 1919. .
Duties and aims of IATA   Over 60 years, IATA has developed the commercial standards that built a global industry. Today, IATA’s mission is to represent, lead and serve the country. The groundbreaking simplifying the business initiative is crucial in this area. Moreover, safety is IATA’s number one priority, and IATA’s goal is to continually improve safety standards, notably through IATA’s operational safety audit (iosa). Another main concern is to minimize the impact of air transport on environment . When it was founded IATA had 57 members from 31 nations, mostly in Europe and North America. Today it has over 270 members from more than 140 nations in every part of the globe.    in both, its organization and its organization and its activity, IATA has been closely associated with ICAO –International civil aviation organization .
UFTAA was founded in 1966 by the merge of international federation of travel agencies (IFTA) and the universal organization of travel agents association (UOTTA). It now forms the only global federation of the travel agents association and thus represents travel agents throughout the world. UFTAA membership is constituted by the national travel agents association or organization in every part of the world, who represent about 32,000 travel agencies with over a half a million employee handling 70% of the international airline bookings. Full members of the UFTAA are the national travel agents association or organization.
- To represent the views of its members and support their interests. -         To enhance and increase the image of its members and provide benefits to them. -         To be an international forum for addressing matters affecting worldwide travel and tourism. -         To unite and reinforce national association and organization of travel agents. -         To act as a sole representative of the travel agency profession at international and worldwide levels. -         To ensure the maximum possible cohesion, prestige, protection, and development in the economic, juridical, and, social sphere for the tourist trade economy.   Duties and aims of UFTAA

Functions of PATA The underlying philosophy of PATA is that the entire travel industry must work together to develop an ever-increasing flow of pleasure travel from which each member will derive a fair share of the total business. The activities of PATA include assisting small and up-and-coming Destinations to develop their infrastructure, providing expertise, planning group travel schemes, destinations, hotels operations and discounts. The annual conferences of PATA and its workshops provide greater scopes to its members to share their ideas and exchange views about tourism promotion in their respective countries.
ICAO - International civil aviation organization The agency has been instrumental in improving metrological services, air traffic control, air-to-ground communications, search and rescue operations, and measures for safe international flight. it has also done much to simplify customs and immigration procedures and public health regulations related to international air travel. The flight against hijacking and other terrorist attacks and the effects of aircraft noise on the environment have also been of special concern to the ICAO .

The Chicago convention In Chicago, in the year 1944, in an international meeting, between various governments, the Chicago convention on international civil aviations concluded. In this convention, nearly all countries active in international air transport, participated. The Chicago convention governs relation – Flying over territory of contracting states (air services), ·        Customs, ·        Rules of the air spread of disease, ·        National of aircraft, ·        Facilitation (customs, accident investigation, etc), ·        Documents (recognitions of certificates & licenses, etc.) ·        International standards and practices, including those for carriage of dangerous goods, Statistics, finance, technical assistance etc.
The Warsaw convention The Warsaw convention does not handle all legal aspects of the relationship between the airlines and the passengers, “condition of contract” which is printed on the passenger ticket include liability which is not handled by the convention. For most journeys the convention limits the airlines liability for loss of or damage to checked-in baggage to about £5 or $9 per pound or to £200 (approx. $400) for unchecked baggage. Higher figures apply on US flights.

Acropolis of Athens The magnificent Acropolis defines and dominates Athens. Unlike other cities where the main attractions are on the outskirts of town, the sacred rock on which the ancient Greek temples were built rises spectacularly above the centre of the city. Large bags must be left at the main entrance cloakroom.
Red Beach If you only visit one of the Greek islands, this former volcanic island has breathtaking views from the caldera whilst also boasting red, white and black beaches. Spend the night on the island and admire the sites at your leisure before returning to Athens.
Temple of Zeus The colossal Temple of Olympian Zeus is the largest in Greece and took more than 700 years to build. Fifteen of the original 104 massive (17m-high) Corinthian columns survive, along with the one that toppled over in a gale in 1852. Peisistratos began building the temple in the 6th century BC on the western bank of the Ilissos River, at the site of a smaller temple (590–560 BC) dedicated to the cult of Olympian Zeus , but construction stalled due to lack of funds. A succession of leaders tried to finish the job, making adjustments along the way, which explains inconsistencies in the temple. Hadrian finally finished the task in AD 131. The temple housed a giant gold and ivory statue of Zeus and one of Hadrian.

Reason why less documents are needed for these countries: Countries that we have selected Greece,Spain,Italy and France needs only few documents to travel because we are carrying a common visa that is Schengen Visa instead of carrying individual Visa’s for each country. A Schengen visa allows the holder to travel freely within the Schengen countries for a maximum stay of up to 90 days in a 6 month period.
Schengen Visa The Schengen Visa has made traveling between its 15 European member countries much easier and less bureaucratic. Traveling on a Schengen Visa means that the visa holder can travel to any (or all) member countries using one single visa, thus avoiding the hassle and expense of obtaining individual visas for each country. This is particularly beneficial for persons who wish to visit several European countries on the same trip. The Schengen visa is a “visitor visa”. It is issued to citizens of countries who are required to obtain a visa before entering Europe. The purpose of the visit must be leisure, tourism, or business. Upon the issuance of the visa, the visa holder is allowed to enter all member countries and travel freely throughout the Schengen area.
