Editor's Notes
Visual Fusion is business intelligence software that provides greater visualisation of your enterprise data.It is browser based and leverages the Microsoft platform including Windows Server, SharePoint, Bing Maps and SQL Server
Visual Fusion’s strength is in ease of access to a number of existing data sources, which may be both internal and external to the business. This diagram illustrates the existing data sources and services that Visual Fusion can consume as business feeds and can leverage to build a common operating picture for the business.
Most data within the business has only a limited spatial reference. For example, word documents, excel spreadsheets, PDFs and even Powerpoint files can be referenced within the system to provide a visual entry into the business information being recorded about key locations and assets. In this example, spatially referencing the location of safety manuals, and air and water quality reports, which are being held in a corporate system like SharePoint, provides an easy an intuitive means of accessing the most relevant data to an incident and can be readily integrated with other operational datasets.
