Arguments Against Abortion
While world is advancing in every field, there are many people who talk against the legal status of
abortions. There are many people who support lawfulness of abortions and there are many people
who oppose them. After decades of women's struggle for the legal status for abortions till 1970's,
people who are opposing abortions are still bringing this debate into public with their version of
arguments. There may be personal or religious or emotional reasons to oppose the abortions. The
meaning of abortion itself is stopping the unwanted pregnancy. Women would only choose for

In the article "We're Not Sorry Charlie" by Jennifer Baumgargner says that "it's crucial to understand
abortion rights in terms of women's most basic ability to live in freedom–or even to live, period".
Most of the women choose for abortion only in unfavorable situations or medical reasons. Those
reasons might be poor financial situation or improper age to have a child or abnormal embryo in
the mother's womb or other. It is a women who is going bear all the pain and carry a child for 9
months in those unfavorable situations. It may cause severe mental trauma and may lose their
self–confidence. Women must have the right to decide about their own body and life. Illegalizing
abortions may create social problems such as orphans in the society. The number of unwanted
children will increase. Those children might have a chance to get foster care only if they are lucky.
In the movie "The Cider House Rules" we can notice the same situation. Only few children were

life. Many people try to say that it isn't a baby, it is a fetus. Yes, Fetus is the correct term but a
fetus is a baby. If you don't have a baby/ human growing inside of you then you aren't pregnant,

have an abortion when she is up to 24weeks pregnant except if the mothers' life is in danger. Some
people see this as killing innocent babies but others see it as a rescue for teenage mothers' etc.

As said, I believe that deciding whether to abort or not is not an easy decision for anyone, and that

The reason this argument doesn't work is because it is begging the question. In fact, this lie hides
behind a good percentage of the popular arguments for the pro–choice position. One begs the
question when one assumes what one is trying to prove is correct. The question–begging of the
coat–hanger argument is very obvious: but only by assuming that the unborn are not fully human
does the argument work. If the unborn are not fully human, then the pro–choicer has a legitimate
concern, just as one would have in overturning a law forbidding appendicitis operations if countless

The abortion argument is always a tough split decision. Some people lean towards pro–life and
some towards pro–choice. The pro–life group believes that every fetus should be kept alive since
they are a developing human, and every human has a right to life. The pro–choice believe that if it's

that abortions are legal in the first trimester, and the second and third would be ruled by the state.
