JK Rowling: My Role Model
JK Rowling has been my role model ever since I picked up one of her books in a store. After just a
few sentences I fell hook line and sinker for this story. What I admire the most is that she took the
male dominated writing industry by Storm. She made in now just ate books what Stephen King
did manage to do in 98 published works. She stood up and gave little girls everywhere the
inspiration they needed to make their dreams come true. Furthermore she managed to escape a little
dreary thing called depression which is a feat in itself. As an aspiring female author JK Rowling has
offered me the confidence and inspiration I need to bring life to my imagination.
As a tale so is life not how long it is but how good it is is what matters very good lifes

My Role Model: My Father Is A Super Hero
Throughout someone's life they have a role model that they look up to and admire. Whether it be
a super hero, a relative, or even a friend, they still look up to that individual. My role model comes
in the form of a five foot five man, with short black hair, and a face just like mine. He's my father
and even though he's no super hero, he's still definitely the person I look up to the most. Whether
it be supporting my dreams, needing someone to talk to, or needing a ride to a date, he's always
there for me. When it comes down to it he's the person I admire most, my role model, father,
mentor, and most importantly my friend. My dad has always had to make choices and sacrifices
for my own benefit. For the first four years of my life my family couldn't afford a car. Since both my
parents worked my dad had to walk me to my babysitter before work every day (no matter how hot
or cold the weather...show more content...
From working on cars, to fixing the T.V., I observed every little move he made. When I turned
thirteen he started teaching me different ways to fix electronic appliances like video game
controllers. I was always fascinated by how much he knew and admired how he taught me every
single thing with patience. He felt more like a teacher than a father every time he taught me
something. When I was in seventh grade, I started to get bullied and it got to the point where it
got physical. In order to learn how to defend myself he taught me how to box. He was a rough
teacher, pushing me to my limits, not even letting me rest until he said I could. However, teaching
me how to box was the best thing he ever taught me. I stopped being bullied and I found
something I loved and wanted to improve at. Every lesson I learned, every detail we spent talking
about, were things I cherished because I felt closer to the person I admired most. Growing into the
person I am today was all thanks to

Mother : My Role Model Of My Mother
A lot of people have someone they look up to in their lives. For some people it could be a movie star,
sports player, or a superhero. I do not see those people to be true role models. My definition of a
role model is someone has always been there for you and supports you throughout life. For me, the
person I admire the most would be my mother, Christine. Ever sense I could remember she has
been my number one supporter. She inspires and motivates me to grow. My mother is my role
model because of how supportive she is, how hardworking she is, and how compassionate she is.
Throughout my entire life my mom has always been supporting and encouraging me. She supported
me throughout all my crazy, weird phases as a teenager. Growing up I always knew I could count
on her to motivate me when I was feeling down. She has always been the one to support my dreams
when no one else did. I can remember from a really young age of my mom sitting on the sidelines
of any sports game I was playing. My mom would try to never miss a single game I was playing
in. I still remember the my mom waking me up before the sun would rise, carrying all of my
equipment to the car, and driving for a few hours to make it to my next game. I still remember my
mom's loud obnoxious screams of joy whenever I scored a goal. Whenever me and my teammates
won the game my mom would get all the parents to gather off the bleachers and form a long
pyramid with their hands in the air. All of my teammates and I would sprint as fast as we could
through as the parents would scream with congratulations. If my team ever lost, she always would
talk with me and help encourage me to continue playing. My mom was my biggest fan and supporter.
A more recent example of my mother being nothing less of supportive is her encouragement
throughout my high school years. Whenever I had an upcoming test my mom would always help me
write out flashcards and quiz me. She always motivated me to study even when I was not feeling
up to it. She always reassured me that I would do well on my upcoming tests. If it was not for her
encouragement I do not think I would have accomplished as much in high school. My mom still
continues to encourage me with my schoolwork now that I am in

My Role Model Of My Life Essay
Introduction I have been asked many times since I was a young boy what I would like to be in
life, however, I was never able to explore or express my interests. As time has passed the question
still remains, yet I am much closer to my answer. With help from the career research assignment,
presented during my GEL class, I have been able to research this very question. Before this
assignment I pondered countless ideas of what my future profession would be like, but I never
went into detail; and never investigated how it would effect my overall quality of life. My future can
only be shaped by what I choose to be. I want my life to be meaningful, and the only way I could
accomplish this goal would be to positively affect other peoples livelihood . My personality traits
and personal desires have prove to me that I would make a great leader. However, who do I want to
lead? And how could I make a positive influence in the world? My dad is a standing role model in
my life for he bravely serves as a Fire captain for Los Angeles County Fire Department. He has
shown me a great deal within his field and I decided that a career in the medical profession would
suit me well. Although my aspirations are not to become a Doctor, I would like to contribute my
leadership ability to the medical profession by pursuing a career in health care management.
Ultimately, my goal is to become a executive within a hospital in order to use my skills for the
greater good. Moreover, I realize this is a

My Role Model Essay
My Role model outside my family Various times in life we come through an influential person
that lives a great and powerful impact in our lives. When people think about a role model, they
envision famed people such as actors, athletes, singers and much more. In my opinion, a role
model develops to be someone that has positively impacted lives, and it's not an individual that is
full of selfishness and pride. A role model has eminent values and they influence others with them.
This role model should be the one that you can be confident to talk about complications and will
never judge but will give you valuable advice. All persons have different role models outside their

Eliza makes the best jokes, and she is crazy in the best way. In addition, she always distinguishes
when is the right moment for jokes, games and the serious situations. With her, I can have
meaningful conversations and also have the greatest time laughing and having a great time. In
addition to her attitude, I also admire Eliza's love for God. I always enjoy being around people
who influence me positively and encourage me to deepen my relationship with God. Eliza does
just that. Eliza reminds me to be thankful to God and devote time to God each day. She personally
does this in her own life and overflows with joy, hope, and faith. Additionally, Eliza is always
available to give me endless advice or emphasize valuable lessons to me. However, while she
discerns good and bad and does not hide her opinion, she is extremely gentle and never
judgmental. Eliza's favorite Bible verse is "The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still."
Eliza's constant reminders of this verse continually impact me. Jesus vows to look after us and
defend us. Nonetheless, it is not difficult to forget this

My Role Model In Life
As my father, Ladislao Trakal, one of my only role models in life, settles down onto the couch, he
reminisces about his college experience over a cup of coffee. The same father who brought me to
life, yet different than what he used to be. He seems as though he were remembering a dismal time
in his life, represented by the lugubrious expression on his face, but one would soon discover that
his woes were only because of the challenges that he had to overcome throughout his time in college.
Now let us start from the beginning...
My father, like most students, had the choice of what job he would want to partake in for the rest
of his life. Due to his extreme ability to deal with technology, my dad made a decision: to work
the life of the computer and the cubicle and leave aside any other field. Coming from a Hispanic
background in the small but lively country of Argentina, Trakal knew everyone and everyone knew
him. From having only one library in his town to being under a dictatorship until 1983, things
weren't as easy as they are now considering education and the effect technology has on it today.
"Education those days was better and the biggest difference with nowadays is that every student has
a 'library' at their feet," stated Trakal who was always extremely fond of the unique technology
sprouting during his teenage years. Apart from attending a technical high school, Trakal would often
spend long hours with his family and friends getting together, barbecuing, and mostly

What Is A Role Model
When you think of a role model, who comes to mind? Many would say an actor, singer, athlete,
etc. My role model is my sister, Natasha Hobley. For those who don't know Natasha personally,
they probably wouldn't understand why she is a role model to me. However, I find her to be a
role model for many reasons. Not only is Natasha strong, fearless, and independent, but she is the
most loving person I have ever met. Regardless of the trials that have been thrown at her, she
always comes out on top, and stronger than before. Natasha has unfortunately lost loved ones in
her life, but still manages to find happiness in the darkest situations. Despite battling mental and
emotional battles, my sister continues to find the best in situations, and always uplifts others.
Ever since I was a child, I remember looking up to her and always wanting to be just like her.
Natasha Hobley is my role model. My sister Natasha is one of the most amazing and loving people I
have ever met. Some of my earliest memories are of her taking care of my two other sisters and
me. I remember always going places with her and her friends, and her loving bringing me places.
There was no greater feeling than getting to go places with my big sister and her friends, that I
thought were so cool! In January of 2017, my dad's brother passed away. Our family had never
had any huge losses, so it hit all of us pretty hard. Natasha lives in Las Vegas, Nevada, but the
majority of our family lives in Salt Lake City, Utah.

How would I ensure that my work goals and plans reflect the organisation's goals and plans?
To ensure that my work goals and plans reflect the organisation's goals and plans, first I would
identify what the organisation's goals and plans are. The identification can be done by examining
the organisation's strategic and operational plans. Strategic plans sent out an organisation's goals
or what it hopes to achieve over a specified period of time, usually three or five years. Operational
plans also focus on an organisation's goals. Unlike strategic plans, they focus on a shorter period of
time, often just one year and they tend to be more detailed and outline exactly what each work unit
needs to achieve in any given year. Besides examining the organisation's strategic and operational
plans which can be time consuming, another way to find out about the vision and strategic direction
of the organisation is to consult a manager or a supervisor. In particular, ask them to explain what
the goals for the organisation are with facts and figures. Tell the manager or supervisor what tasks I
can be doing that will help the team.
How would I ensure that I meet my job responsibilities?
To ensure that I meet my job responsibilities, I would undertake formal performance evaluations
which provide opportunities for me to assess my work in collaboration with the managers or
supervisors who are conducting the evaluations. Another useful means to find out whether my work
is meeting

Who Are My Role Models And Why?
Who are my role models and why?My role models have been varied and wide over the years and
some have not even been aware of their involvement. When it comes to work ethic it was my
father. He has been a great example of endurance and going the extra mile to take care of his
family. Pastor Marc Pederson was one of my many youth pastors along the way and he currently
is Pastoring forest Lake Covenant Church. His example of unconditional love towards his kids
and the combination of fun and teaching was important to me as I remember through my teen
years. Reverend Wendell B. Anderson and Neal Josephson helped me through some challenging
times at Covenant Bible College in Prince Albert, Sask. Canada. It was a time that I needed to be
away from my dad and grace that helped me stay in school through a relationship and prevention
of being kicked out. Others along the way would be Dan Taylor and Steve Corum who were very
active in the Great Commission Church in Grand Forks, ND. They allowed me to begin my process
of Christian adult walk through a men's group they had. Through another understanding of grace and
guidance I was able to mature and see gifting's that God had placed within my life. Many other
mentors such as Jim Hammill, Pastor C. J. Johnson in the last few years have been men that have
sculpted my thinking through marriage, leadership, ministry and vocation. If I were to create this all
over again these men would be key to my accountability, spiritual guidance and most

My Role Model In School
Growing up, I had supportive but strict parents and three older siblings to use as my role models.
When I say my parents are strict, it stems from the fact that my dad is a Baptist pastor. Given that
my dad is a pastor; my parents expected me and my siblings to go to school, church, and
participate in extracurricular activities before or after school. So, I didn't miss school unless I had
to, I went to church every Sunday and I participated in fellowship of Christian athletes and band.
My Sunday school teachers expected that I would have all my bible verses memorized ahead of
time in AWANA. My band director expected that I had practiced a lot for auditions and that I would
get first chair because he knew my parents made me practice. Being...show more content...
All in all, I had a great support system during my childhood which has helped shape me into who I
am today, a goodie little two shoes, some would say. Now that I am almost entirely independent
from my parents, I still enjoy things that I enjoyed as a child such as going to church, spending time
outside and seeing my family. However, I also enjoy things I didn't experience growing up such as
playing pool, traveling to places of my choice, or volunteering at places of my choice such as a
nursing home. I have been working at an assisted living facility for two years now and I love
working in geriatrics. I never would have known that as a child because I didn't experience
volunteering with elderly people. My grandparents were the only elderly people I had contact
with and while they were awesome, just the two of them couldn't fuel my decision to work in
geriatrics. I needed to experience being around a variety of elderly people because not all of them
are as kind, patient and positive as my grandparents. I feel that I have my own identity now that I
can choose how I want to spend my free time. While my beliefs and values may be similar to what
my parents instilled in me at a young age, they have become my own set of beliefs that define me.
People always ask me what I want to do when I am done with school. Right now the answer seems
pretty straight

Essay about My Mom is the Perfect Role Model
"Children have never been very good at listening to their elders, but they have never failed to imitate
them."
–––― James Baldwin
To write about my role models, I could have picked teachers, I could have picked people extremely
influential in their field, and I could have picked models and other aesthetically pleasing individuals.
But instead, I found the perfect combination of all three: my mother. There isn't one person on this
earth more educational, more competent, and more aesthetically pleasing than my mother. And there
isn't one person on this earth that can re–direct my role model focus from her.
My mother has suffered parental loss, the threat of cancer and what might be one of the hardest
things to do, raising two girls. At...show more content...
When I told her I wanted to go into music, flute performance especially, she knew that it would be
challenging and that I'd be looking for jobs left and right. But she also knew that I was a good
player and key figure in the musical world both in my school, state and country, having performed
in Europe. Flute is one of the most difficult instruments to be proficient in and master. However,
she held me high and let me do what I knew I loved instead of encouraging me to go into a more
"stable" field.
Some may say it's easy to choose your mother for a role model, that it's a no–brainer. Not so. Not
only does my mother have a professional attitude worth emulating, she has the attitude of a child,
too. None of my other friends' mom's are willing to stick their tongue at you while telling you "I
told you so!", in jest of course.
I've seen my mother play first string violin at a packed concert house and I've seen her dance and
be–bop around the house, mocking my sister and me. I think she's so cool for driving a
convertible at age 43, still looking young and not losing that youthful soul. She's got better
fashion sense than I do. We go shopping and have a blast every time. I think she's the greatest for
being able to come home from a long day of practicing Psychotherapy, dealing with people crazier
than I, and just chill out in the living room with me, a glass of wine and Jerry Springer. Either that
or Real World.

Personal Essay–2017
When we were together it would be us against the world. My ride or d.. (well, you get the picture...)
I'd look up to him, not only because he was 6'4, but because he was my grandpa. I have clear
memories of being picked up after school by my grandpa and him playing reggae mash–ups during
our adventurous car rides. We'd always sing along to our favorites, sometimes turn the music up
so loud the people in the cars beside us could hear it. When I would go to his apartment, the
familiar smell of drywall and pennies would fill the air. It was my hideaway, my home away from
home. My grandpa collected pennies in clear water filter jugs because he said that one day they'd
be worth more than just pennies. I loved it there, not only because of the all you can eat ice
cream that he made sure he had in his fridge but because of our bond. For five years it was mom,
dad, and grandpa helping me to grow. Those are my favorite people, my role models. Being around
my grandpa brought me such comfort and joy.
On May 17th, 2011, my family's life was turned upside down. My grandpa was feeling faint and
suddenly fell over a low picket fence while visiting friend's house. He was unconscious for a little
and then with the help of his friend he was able to get up and walk inside her house. He started
complaining about a headache at which time his friend decided to call an ambulance. When the
ambulance arrived the paramedics asked my grandpa how he felt and if he could stand

My Mom Is My Role Model
Out of all the people in the world that I look up to I'd have to say that my mom is my biggest role
model. Maybe not everybody's moms are a great role model and there is probably people who are
going to think my mom is not, but to me she is. I'm writing this essay about my mom and why I
think she's a good role model. I think my mom proved a lot of people wrong about getting
pregnant at a young age. People told her it would be a big mistake and that it would ruin her life
but my mom is now raising four kids and is doing a pretty good job in my opinion, which clearly
proves that it didn't ruin her life. Having a kid at 17 isn't for everybody because not everybody is
cut out for that job. On top of having her first kid at 17 she married when she was 23 and still is
happily married to my dad. A lot of couples get divorced especially ones who got married young,
but my mom says that a lot of the time people just give up completely when things get rough. In
her opinion when things start getting difficult you just need to take a step back and try to fix the
problem unless it's unfixable and maybe you guys just weren't meant to be. My mom had 3 kids
when she started college to be a nurse but 2 years in she quit because she didn't want to be away
from her kids all the time. By doing all of this she proved everybody wrong by being a good mom.
She makes a pretty good mom because even though she has 4 kids, if there is a problem she'll find
the time to talk about it and I find it pretty easy to talk to her about almost everything because she
listens and does what she can to try an help. She loves to dance, she'll sing and dance really weird
and does the cha cha slide a lot, proving that she can be really fun and puts everybody in a good
mood. I think that my mom has a lot of stress being a mom of 4 kids especially because my dad's
job is working in Fort Benton so he has to leave really early and is home kind of late so he can't help
out a ton on the weekdays, so she kind of does a lot on her own but she still manages and has a
job she loves doing that fits perfect with everyone's time scehdule because she works at the school.
I'm glad my mom is how she is because I can trust her and my friends can trust her. For

My Role Models
My parents were born during the Great Depression and by the time I was born they lived an upper
middle class neighborhood in the 1960s. I was the last child of five in my family and separated
by many years from my other siblings, so at times I felt like an only child. My mother while well
meaning, I would come to discover later in my life that she suffered from bio polar disorder with
anxiety. This made my formative years difficult and my sisters often acted as my parent, when my
mom couldn't and became role models for me. My father did work a lot during my early years,
however, he always made a priority when he was home. When I was ten years old, my mother
decided that they would divorce. During this time period and in my neighborhood this was
unheard of and many of my childhood friends were no longer allowed to associate with me. My
sisters and brothers had moved out of the house by this time in their lives and I was left alone to
face the divorce and I felt betrayed by them and no longer emulated them.
My father moved out and I would spend weekends with him and we would do everything together,
he would also talk to me on the phone every day and take time to help me with my math
homework. During these years my mother often made poor decisions in relationships and jobs,
but my dad was my place of comfort during these crazy times. He was my role model and the person

My Role Model Essay
When growing up, there is always someone there for you to look up too. From your guardians, or
even your older siblings or classmates. You start learning from those you look at and want to be
like them. These people change; as does your life when you age. I have many people who inspire
me since you can't just have a sole person. The ones who inspire me truly are my own peers and
friends.
My view of role models has changed greatly from when I was younger. When I was little I wanted to
be like my parents and like Batman and celebrities. Now I see people as their own inspirations.
One of my role models I met at a convention. She was an artist and had an amazing display of
artworks. I didn't even learn her name , but I did read her note....show more content...
These are the examples that I am going to be when I get there and when they are working at their
best, I feel the need to do the same. Sure they are not the perfect role models and they make many
mistakes, but that is what makes them great. They fall, fail, and make mistakes, but they recognize
those flaws and mistakes and take responsibility for them, as well as doing better the next time;
showing how you can still be a good person and do great things even if you mess up. You just need
to learn from those mistakes.
The ones who are a large parts of my goals are my friends and peers. They isnpire me to do the
things I love and achieve their feets as well. Even when they are faced with challenges they are
determined enough to overcome them and admit to the flaws they wear like battle scars. They are
the people I am growing up with and those who are already starting their next chapter. I see them and
want to be like them. Strong and independent, but humble enough to know that they will need
help. Even with them being the biggest inspiration, it is hard to choose a soul inspiration. I am
inspired by my environment to be a better person; as well as by myself. I am inspired by all the
people who try to do good and be their own kind of hero. That way, I can use all of them to be the
best person I can be. When I grow up, these are the people I will have to take the place of, but that's
not what it is about. The goal is to surpass all the good deeds today and do even

My Role Model Of Family Essay
From the time I was born to the present day, I have been surrounded by family. My family doesn't
just consist of blood related family but includes friendships that have become so close they have
become part of my family over the years. To say that family is the basis of who I am would be an
understatement. To me, family can simply be a person that has come into my life and stood by my
side through the good times and bad times. My family has always been there for me and they've
supported my every decision. They have become my compass in life and direct me in the path I
should take. Not only do they cheer me on and are supportive for my successful moments and
greatest accomplishments but they are also not afraid to be honest and tell me when I'm doing
something wrong. Even at my toughest times and weakest moments, they are always willing to
help, especially to pick me up if I fall.
Since childhood, my brother has been my role model. When my brother started playing soccer, I
had to play because he was playing. We both played on the same team for a few years with a
family friend as our coach. Because of our age difference, my brother and I fought a lot. Deciding I
want to be on the same team as him, I didn't help our relationship much but added to the arguments.
We argued about the little things like, telling the other to get out of the bathroom or out of their
room, or fighting over who gets to watch what show on TV, to eating all the ice cream then blaming
the other for it.

My Mother : My Role Model
My role model is my mom. Everyone would probably think that this is the most generic person to
put as a role model, but it is the truth. She has honestly made a huge impact on my life. Majority of
the decisions I have made in my life are based off of what my mom would say or what would she
do. She always helps me when i'm lost and needs guidance. She is my go to person when it comes
to having a helping hand, a shoulder to cry on, and an ear to listen. I look at my mom so highly.
She has influenced my life drastically because of everything we have been through in life. The
reason she is my role model is because she raised two kids by herself with no male figure to help
her, having a full time job to provide for her children, and staying strong through situations God
has put us in. All my life my mom has been the mom and dad in the family. My father has never
been in my life so my mom had to step up to the plate to take care of two kids. Taking care of kids
by yourself is no easy job. Raising kids come with more than having money to take care of them
physically but mentally showing them the way of life such as: teaching them right from wrong, the
do's and the don'ts, and how to do stuff and just preparing them for the real world, things a father
usually help teaching their kids. That was just minus all the extra stuff that comes with having girls,
it comes with things like starting their cycles and boy talk and teaching them how to be a lady. My
mom would still help me and

The Importance Of My Role Model
Everyone has people that they look up to and admire because of certain qualities that these people
possess. In other words, a role model or someone who can influence a person's life through actions
they have performed and certain aspects only that is unique to that person . Growing up with my
role models gave me opportunities to pull out different lessons from situations that I've been
through with each person. Jim Rohn once said, "You are the average of the five people you
spend the most time with" and the community you were raised in is very relevant on how you
progress. Throughout my life, there have been numerous people that I look up to but there are
three in particular that have influenced me through their kind gestures, supportive nature, and
qualities that make me who I am today. During the early stages of my life, the most substantial
influencer was my cousin named Chi who can be seen as a motherly figure to me. She is living
proof that as long as effort is put in you will succeed sooner or later. At a young age, Chi lost her
father suddenly and had to help her mom earn a living as a party planner, as time went on she
became a successful money lender . Despite her hardships growing up she always liked to joke
around and had the brightest smile as cheesy as it might sound. Who would expect a person with a
5'2 frame to be able to oversee the finances in the house without a proper education. The reason I
look up to her was the skills she acquired in spite of the

every day, he is a leader in our community as well. My Dad is an entrepreneur, so he owns his own
business. I've seen days where my dad is sick, but he still gets up around five o'clock in the morning
and goes to work. He doesn't take days off; I remember asking him "Dad, how do you do it? How do
you push yourself to get up and work so hard every day?" And my Dad responded by saying this,
"I do it because I enjoy seeing you guys happy." At first, I didn't understand what he was implying,
but as I started to ponder on his words, it became apparent to me what he had meant. When my
father gets paid, he doesn't spend a dime on himself. He always makes sure my siblings and I are
taken care of first before anything. Then he takes care of my mom's needs; my dad is selfless. Not
once has he ever not provided, there's

Manager as a Role Model
Being a manager comes with a lot of responsibilities and not everyone can handle such a pressure
of being a leader. It is not necessary that a hard working individual with a lot of experience can be
a good leader, as sometimes a good leader may not be competitive as some of the employees. As any
company's manager comes with many responsibilities including hiring, terminating, scheduling,
inventory, supervising and etc. A supervisor shall always lead with example because the employees
look up to their bosses and expects to learn from them because one day they might take management
position. Therefore, a good manager or supervisor should always emphasizes on good work ethics.

However, if someone, breaks the rule and constantly do so should be warned and dealt with
accordingly. For example; one of my employee was not producing and was taking long breaks and
due to that I had to visit and talk to him. I did not want to be harsh and cruel with him so I decided
to approach him differently. I went to see him and asked him to sit down. I start by asking him
the reason why am I seeing him? Apparently he knew the reason, but I did not wanted to be tough,
so I asked him, how is his personal life, and what can I do to help him. Indeed, he had some
personal issues which he was dealing with and because of that it was reflecting his job duties.
Indeed, I also reflected on his long breaks which needs to cut down to normal. Also, if he needs
any help he can feel free to discuss with me. Also, I assured him my support as long as he follows
the company's guidelines which he did. My biggest challenge was how can I overcome this hurdle
with him and makes him produce. Afterwards, he became one of my top producer and indeed
became a supervisor. Managers should know how to take the best out of their employees by leading
with example. By all means, managers and senior individuals should be the role models. Therefore,
if a manager want to improve and support its employees' performance, he shall model that behavior
himself first. Indeed, regular feedback to employees help them understand where they stand in terms
of expectation. Also, praising employees will help

My Father: My Role Model in Life

  • 1. JK Rowling: My Role Model JK Rowling has been my role model ever since I picked up one of her books in a store. After just a few sentences I fell hook line and sinker for this story. What I admire the most is that she took the male dominated writing industry by Storm. She made in now just ate books what Stephen King did manage to do in 98 published works. She stood up and gave little girls everywhere the inspiration they needed to make their dreams come true. Furthermore she managed to escape a little dreary thing called depression which is a feat in itself. As an aspiring female author JK Rowling has offered me the confidence and inspiration I need to bring life to my imagination. As a tale so is life not how long it is but how good it is is what matters very good lifes Introduction Joanne Jo Rowling also known by her pen name JK Rowling and Robert Galbraith was born on 31st July 1965 in Yate Gloucestershire England. • 2. My Role Model: My Father Is A Super Hero Throughout someone's life they have a role model that they look up to and admire. Whether it be a super hero, a relative, or even a friend, they still look up to that individual. My role model comes in the form of a five foot five man, with short black hair, and a face just like mine. He's my father and even though he's no super hero, he's still definitely the person I look up to the most. Whether it be supporting my dreams, needing someone to talk to, or needing a ride to a date, he's always there for me. When it comes down to it he's the person I admire most, my role model, father, mentor, and most importantly my friend. My dad has always had to make choices and sacrifices for my own benefit. For the first four years of my life my family couldn't afford a car. Since both my parents worked my dad had to walk me to my babysitter before work every day (no matter how hot or cold the weather...show more content... From working on cars, to fixing the T.V., I observed every little move he made. When I turned thirteen he started teaching me different ways to fix electronic appliances like video game controllers. I was always fascinated by how much he knew and admired how he taught me every single thing with patience. He felt more like a teacher than a father every time he taught me something. When I was in seventh grade, I started to get bullied and it got to the point where it got physical. In order to learn how to defend myself he taught me how to box. He was a rough teacher, pushing me to my limits, not even letting me rest until he said I could. However, teaching me how to box was the best thing he ever taught me. I stopped being bullied and I found something I loved and wanted to improve at. Every lesson I learned, every detail we spent talking about, were things I cherished because I felt closer to the person I admired most. Growing into the person I am today was all thanks to Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Mother : My Role Model Of My Mother A lot of people have someone they look up to in their lives. For some people it could be a movie star, sports player, or a superhero. I do not see those people to be true role models. My definition of a role model is someone has always been there for you and supports you throughout life. For me, the person I admire the most would be my mother, Christine. Ever sense I could remember she has been my number one supporter. She inspires and motivates me to grow. My mother is my role model because of how supportive she is, how hardworking she is, and how compassionate she is. Throughout my entire life my mom has always been supporting and encouraging me. She supported me throughout all my crazy, weird phases as a teenager. Growing up I always knew I could count on her to motivate me when I was feeling down. She has always been the one to support my dreams when no one else did. I can remember from a really young age of my mom sitting on the sidelines of any sports game I was playing. My mom would try to never miss a single game I was playing in. I still remember the my mom waking me up before the sun would rise, carrying all of my equipment to the car, and driving for a few hours to make it to my next game. I still remember my mom's loud obnoxious screams of joy whenever I scored a goal. Whenever me and my teammates won the game my mom would get all the parents to gather off the bleachers and form a long pyramid with their hands in the air. All of my teammates and I would sprint as fast as we could through as the parents would scream with congratulations. If my team ever lost, she always would talk with me and help encourage me to continue playing. My mom was my biggest fan and supporter. A more recent example of my mother being nothing less of supportive is her encouragement throughout my high school years. Whenever I had an upcoming test my mom would always help me write out flashcards and quiz me. She always motivated me to study even when I was not feeling up to it. She always reassured me that I would do well on my upcoming tests. If it was not for her encouragement I do not think I would have accomplished as much in high school. My mom still continues to encourage me with my schoolwork now that I am in Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. My Role Model Of My Life Essay Introduction I have been asked many times since I was a young boy what I would like to be in life, however, I was never able to explore or express my interests. As time has passed the question still remains, yet I am much closer to my answer. With help from the career research assignment, presented during my GEL class, I have been able to research this very question. Before this assignment I pondered countless ideas of what my future profession would be like, but I never went into detail; and never investigated how it would effect my overall quality of life. My future can only be shaped by what I choose to be. I want my life to be meaningful, and the only way I could accomplish this goal would be to positively affect other peoples livelihood . My personality traits and personal desires have prove to me that I would make a great leader. However, who do I want to lead? And how could I make a positive influence in the world? My dad is a standing role model in my life for he bravely serves as a Fire captain for Los Angeles County Fire Department. He has shown me a great deal within his field and I decided that a career in the medical profession would suit me well. Although my aspirations are not to become a Doctor, I would like to contribute my leadership ability to the medical profession by pursuing a career in health care management. Ultimately, my goal is to become a executive within a hospital in order to use my skills for the greater good. Moreover, I realize this is a Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. My Role Model Essay My Role model outside my family Various times in life we come through an influential person that lives a great and powerful impact in our lives. When people think about a role model, they envision famed people such as actors, athletes, singers and much more. In my opinion, a role model develops to be someone that has positively impacted lives, and it's not an individual that is full of selfishness and pride. A role model has eminent values and they influence others with them. This role model should be the one that you can be confident to talk about complications and will never judge but will give you valuable advice. In addition, she always distinguishes when is the right moment for jokes, games and the serious situations. With her, I can have meaningful conversations and also have the greatest time laughing and having a great time. In addition to her attitude, I also admire Eliza's love for God. I always enjoy being around people who influence me positively and encourage me to deepen my relationship with God. Eliza does just that. Eliza reminds me to be thankful to God and devote time to God each day. She personally does this in her own life and overflows with joy, hope, and faith. Additionally, Eliza is always available to give me endless advice or emphasize valuable lessons to me. However, while she discerns good and bad and does not hide her opinion, she is extremely gentle and never judgmental. Eliza's favorite Bible verse is "The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still." Eliza's constant reminders of this verse continually impact me. Jesus vows to look after us and defend us. • 6. My Role Model In Life As my father, Ladislao Trakal, one of my only role models in life, settles down onto the couch, he reminisces about his college experience over a cup of coffee. The same father who brought me to life, yet different than what he used to be. He seems as though he were remembering a dismal time in his life, represented by the lugubrious expression on his face, but one would soon discover that his woes were only because of the challenges that he had to overcome throughout his time in college. Now let us start from the beginning... My father, like most students, had the choice of what job he would want to partake in for the rest of his life. Due to his extreme ability to deal with technology, my dad made a decision: to work the life of the computer and the cubicle and leave aside any other field. Coming from a Hispanic background in the small but lively country of Argentina, Trakal knew everyone and everyone knew him. From having only one library in his town to being under a dictatorship until 1983, things weren't as easy as they are now considering education and the effect technology has on it today. "Education those days was better and the biggest difference with nowadays is that every student has a 'library' at their feet," stated Trakal who was always extremely fond of the unique technology sprouting during his teenage years. Apart from attending a technical high school, Trakal would often spend long hours with his family and friends getting together, barbecuing, and mostly Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. What Is A Role Model When you think of a role model, who comes to mind? Many would say an actor, singer, athlete, etc. My role model is my sister, Natasha Hobley. For those who don't know Natasha personally, they probably wouldn't understand why she is a role model to me. However, I find her to be a role model for many reasons. Not only is Natasha strong, fearless, and independent, but she is the most loving person I have ever met. Regardless of the trials that have been thrown at her, she always comes out on top, and stronger than before. Natasha has unfortunately lost loved ones in her life, but still manages to find happiness in the darkest situations. Despite battling mental and emotional battles, my sister continues to find the best in situations, and always uplifts others. Ever since I was a child, I remember looking up to her and always wanting to be just like her. Natasha Hobley is my role model. My sister Natasha is one of the most amazing and loving people I have ever met. Some of my earliest memories are of her taking care of my two other sisters and me. I remember always going places with her and her friends, and her loving bringing me places. There was no greater feeling than getting to go places with my big sister and her friends, that I thought were so cool! In January of 2017, my dad's brother passed away. Our family had never had any huge losses, so it hit all of us pretty hard. Natasha lives in Las Vegas, Nevada, but the majority of our family lives in Salt Lake City, Utah. How would I ensure that my work goals and plans reflect the organisation's goals and plans? To ensure that my work goals and plans reflect the organisation's goals and plans, first I would identify what the organisation's goals and plans are. The identification can be done by examining the organisation's strategic and operational plans. Strategic plans sent out an organisation's goals or what it hopes to achieve over a specified period of time, usually three or five years. Operational plans also focus on an organisation's goals. Unlike strategic plans, they focus on a shorter period of time, often just one year and they tend to be more detailed and outline exactly what each work unit needs to achieve in any given year. Besides examining the organisation's strategic and operational plans which can be time consuming, another way to find out about the vision and strategic direction of the organisation is to consult a manager or a supervisor. In particular, ask them to explain what the goals for the organisation are with facts and figures. Tell the manager or supervisor what tasks I can be doing that will help the team. How would I ensure that I meet my job responsibilities? To ensure that I meet my job responsibilities, I would undertake formal performance evaluations which provide opportunities for me to assess my work in collaboration with the managers or supervisors who are conducting the evaluations. • 9. Who Are My Role Models And Why? Who are my role models and why?My role models have been varied and wide over the years and some have not even been aware of their involvement. When it comes to work ethic it was my father. He has been a great example of endurance and going the extra mile to take care of his family. Pastor Marc Pederson was one of my many youth pastors along the way and he currently is Pastoring forest Lake Covenant Church. His example of unconditional love towards his kids and the combination of fun and teaching was important to me as I remember through my teen years. Reverend Wendell B. Anderson and Neal Josephson helped me through some challenging times at Covenant Bible College in Prince Albert, Sask. Canada. It was a time that I needed to be away from my dad and grace that helped me stay in school through a relationship and prevention of being kicked out. Others along the way would be Dan Taylor and Steve Corum who were very active in the Great Commission Church in Grand Forks, ND. They allowed me to begin my process of Christian adult walk through a men's group they had. Through another understanding of grace and guidance I was able to mature and see gifting's that God had placed within my life. Many other mentors such as Jim Hammill, Pastor C. J. Johnson in the last few years have been men that have sculpted my thinking through marriage, leadership, ministry and vocation. If I were to create this all over again these men would be key to my accountability, spiritual guidance and most Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 10. My Role Model In School Growing up, I had supportive but strict parents and three older siblings to use as my role models. When I say my parents are strict, it stems from the fact that my dad is a Baptist pastor. Given that my dad is a pastor; my parents expected me and my siblings to go to school, church, and participate in extracurricular activities before or after school. So, I didn't miss school unless I had to, I went to church every Sunday and I participated in fellowship of Christian athletes and band. All in all, I had a great support system during my childhood which has helped shape me into who I am today, a goodie little two shoes, some would say. Now that I am almost entirely independent from my parents, I still enjoy things that I enjoyed as a child such as going to church, spending time outside and seeing my family. However, I also enjoy things I didn't experience growing up such as playing pool, traveling to places of my choice, or volunteering at places of my choice such as a nursing home. I have been working at an assisted living facility for two years now and I love working in geriatrics. I never would have known that as a child because I didn't experience volunteering with elderly people. My grandparents were the only elderly people I had contact with and while they were awesome, just the two of them couldn't fuel my decision to work in geriatrics. I needed to experience being around a variety of elderly people because not all of them are as kind, patient and positive as my grandparents. I feel that I have my own identity now that I can choose how I want to spend my free time. While my beliefs and values may be similar to what my parents instilled in me at a young age, they have become my own set of beliefs that define me. People always ask me what I want to do when I am done with school. Right now the answer seems pretty straight Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. Essay about My Mom is the Perfect Role Model "Children have never been very good at listening to their elders, but they have never failed to imitate them." –––― James Baldwin To write about my role models, I could have picked teachers, I could have picked people extremely influential in their field, and I could have picked models and other aesthetically pleasing individuals. But instead, I found the perfect combination of all three: my mother. There isn't one person on this earth more educational, more competent, and more aesthetically pleasing than my mother. And there isn't one person on this earth that can re–direct my role model focus from her. My mother has suffered parental loss, the threat of cancer and what might be one of the hardest things to do, raising two girls. At...show more content... When I told her I wanted to go into music, flute performance especially, she knew that it would be challenging and that I'd be looking for jobs left and right. But she also knew that I was a good player and key figure in the musical world both in my school, state and country, having performed in Europe. Flute is one of the most difficult instruments to be proficient in and master. However, she held me high and let me do what I knew I loved instead of encouraging me to go into a more "stable" field. Some may say it's easy to choose your mother for a role model, that it's a no–brainer. Not so. Not only does my mother have a professional attitude worth emulating, she has the attitude of a child, too. None of my other friends' mom's are willing to stick their tongue at you while telling you "I told you so!", in jest of course. I've seen my mother play first string violin at a packed concert house and I've seen her dance and be–bop around the house, mocking my sister and me. I think she's so cool for driving a convertible at age 43, still looking young and not losing that youthful soul. She's got better fashion sense than I do. We go shopping and have a blast every time. I think she's the greatest for being able to come home from a long day of practicing Psychotherapy, dealing with people crazier than I, and just chill out in the living room with me, a glass of wine and Jerry Springer. Either that or Real World. No Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. My Role Model Personal Essay–2017 When we were together it would be us against the world. My ride or d.. (well, you get the picture...) I'd look up to him, not only because he was 6'4, but because he was my grandpa. I have clear memories of being picked up after school by my grandpa and him playing reggae mash–ups during our adventurous car rides. We'd always sing along to our favorites, sometimes turn the music up so loud the people in the cars beside us could hear it. When I would go to his apartment, the familiar smell of drywall and pennies would fill the air. It was my hideaway, my home away from home. My grandpa collected pennies in clear water filter jugs because he said that one day they'd be worth more than just pennies. I loved it there, not only because of the all you can eat ice cream that he made sure he had in his fridge but because of our bond. For five years it was mom, dad, and grandpa helping me to grow. Those are my favorite people, my role models. Being around my grandpa brought me such comfort and joy. On May 17th, 2011, my family's life was turned upside down. My grandpa was feeling faint and suddenly fell over a low picket fence while visiting friend's house. He was unconscious for a little and then with the help of his friend he was able to get up and walk inside her house. He started complaining about a headache at which time his friend decided to call an ambulance. When the ambulance arrived the paramedics asked my grandpa how he felt and if he could stand Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 13. My Mom Is My Role Model Out of all the people in the world that I look up to I'd have to say that my mom is my biggest role model. Maybe not everybody's moms are a great role model and there is probably people who are going to think my mom is not, but to me she is. I'm writing this essay about my mom and why I think she's a good role model. I think my mom proved a lot of people wrong about getting pregnant at a young age. People told her it would be a big mistake and that it would ruin her life but my mom is now raising four kids and is doing a pretty good job in my opinion, which clearly proves that it didn't ruin her life. Having a kid at 17 isn't for everybody because not everybody is cut out for that job. On top of having her first kid at 17 she married when she was 23 and still is happily married to my dad. A lot of couples get divorced especially ones who got married young, but my mom says that a lot of the time people just give up completely when things get rough. In her opinion when things start getting difficult you just need to take a step back and try to fix the problem unless it's unfixable and maybe you guys just weren't meant to be. My mom had 3 kids when she started college to be a nurse but 2 years in she quit because she didn't want to be away from her kids all the time. By doing all of this she proved everybody wrong by being a good mom. She makes a pretty good mom because even though she has 4 kids, if there is a problem she'll find the time to talk about it and I find it pretty easy to talk to her about almost everything because she listens and does what she can to try an help. She loves to dance, she'll sing and dance really weird and does the cha cha slide a lot, proving that she can be really fun and puts everybody in a good mood. I think that my mom has a lot of stress being a mom of 4 kids especially because my dad's job is working in Fort Benton so he has to leave really early and is home kind of late so he can't help out a ton on the weekdays, so she kind of does a lot on her own but she still manages and has a job she loves doing that fits perfect with everyone's time scehdule because she works at the school. I'm glad my mom is how she is because I can trust her and my friends can trust her. For Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 14. My Role Models My parents were born during the Great Depression and by the time I was born they lived an upper middle class neighborhood in the 1960s. I was the last child of five in my family and separated by many years from my other siblings, so at times I felt like an only child. My mother while well meaning, I would come to discover later in my life that she suffered from bio polar disorder with anxiety. This made my formative years difficult and my sisters often acted as my parent, when my mom couldn't and became role models for me. My father did work a lot during my early years, however, he always made a priority when he was home. When I was ten years old, my mother decided that they would divorce. During this time period and in my neighborhood this was unheard of and many of my childhood friends were no longer allowed to associate with me. My sisters and brothers had moved out of the house by this time in their lives and I was left alone to face the divorce and I felt betrayed by them and no longer emulated them. My father moved out and I would spend weekends with him and we would do everything together, he would also talk to me on the phone every day and take time to help me with my math homework. During these years my mother often made poor decisions in relationships and jobs, but my dad was my place of comfort during these crazy times. He was my role model and the person I most admired for most of my life. "Most [respondents] describe their role model as someone they know Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 15. My Role Model Essay When growing up, there is always someone there for you to look up too. From your guardians, or even your older siblings or classmates. You start learning from those you look at and want to be like them. These people change; as does your life when you age. I have many people who inspire me since you can't just have a sole person. The ones who inspire me truly are my own peers and friends. My view of role models has changed greatly from when I was younger. When I was little I wanted to be like my parents and like Batman and celebrities. Now I see people as their own inspirations. One of my role models I met at a convention. She was an artist and had an amazing display of artworks. I didn't even learn her name , but I did read her note....show more content... These are the examples that I am going to be when I get there and when they are working at their best, I feel the need to do the same. Sure they are not the perfect role models and they make many mistakes, but that is what makes them great. They fall, fail, and make mistakes, but they recognize those flaws and mistakes and take responsibility for them, as well as doing better the next time; showing how you can still be a good person and do great things even if you mess up. You just need to learn from those mistakes. The ones who are a large parts of my goals are my friends and peers. They isnpire me to do the things I love and achieve their feets as well. Even when they are faced with challenges they are determined enough to overcome them and admit to the flaws they wear like battle scars. They are the people I am growing up with and those who are already starting their next chapter. I see them and want to be like them. Strong and independent, but humble enough to know that they will need help. Even with them being the biggest inspiration, it is hard to choose a soul inspiration. I am inspired by my environment to be a better person; as well as by myself. I am inspired by all the people who try to do good and be their own kind of hero. That way, I can use all of them to be the best person I can be. When I grow up, these are the people I will have to take the place of, but that's not what it is about. The goal is to surpass all the good deeds today and do even Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 16. My Role Model Of Family Essay From the time I was born to the present day, I have been surrounded by family. My family doesn't just consist of blood related family but includes friendships that have become so close they have become part of my family over the years. To say that family is the basis of who I am would be an understatement. To me, family can simply be a person that has come into my life and stood by my side through the good times and bad times. My family has always been there for me and they've supported my every decision. They have become my compass in life and direct me in the path I should take. Not only do they cheer me on and are supportive for my successful moments and greatest accomplishments but they are also not afraid to be honest and tell me when I'm doing something wrong. Even at my toughest times and weakest moments, they are always willing to help, especially to pick me up if I fall. Since childhood, my brother has been my role model. When my brother started playing soccer, I had to play because he was playing. We both played on the same team for a few years with a family friend as our coach. Because of our age difference, my brother and I fought a lot. Deciding I want to be on the same team as him, I didn't help our relationship much but added to the arguments. We argued about the little things like, telling the other to get out of the bathroom or out of their room, or fighting over who gets to watch what show on TV, to eating all the ice cream then blaming the other for it. • 17. My Mother : My Role Model My role model is my mom. Everyone would probably think that this is the most generic person to put as a role model, but it is the truth. She has honestly made a huge impact on my life. Majority of the decisions I have made in my life are based off of what my mom would say or what would she do. She always helps me when i'm lost and needs guidance. She is my go to person when it comes to having a helping hand, a shoulder to cry on, and an ear to listen. I look at my mom so highly. She has influenced my life drastically because of everything we have been through in life. The reason she is my role model is because she raised two kids by herself with no male figure to help her, having a full time job to provide for her children, and staying strong through situations God has put us in. All my life my mom has been the mom and dad in the family. My father has never been in my life so my mom had to step up to the plate to take care of two kids. Taking care of kids by yourself is no easy job. Raising kids come with more than having money to take care of them physically but mentally showing them the way of life such as: teaching them right from wrong, the do's and the don'ts, and how to do stuff and just preparing them for the real world, things a father usually help teaching their kids. That was just minus all the extra stuff that comes with having girls, it comes with things like starting their cycles and boy talk and teaching them how to be a lady. My mom would still help me and Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 18. The Importance Of My Role Model Everyone has people that they look up to and admire because of certain qualities that these people possess. In other words, a role model or someone who can influence a person's life through actions they have performed and certain aspects only that is unique to that person . Growing up with my role models gave me opportunities to pull out different lessons from situations that I've been through with each person. Jim Rohn once said, "You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with" and the community you were raised in is very relevant on how you progress. Throughout my life, there have been numerous people that I look up to but there are three in particular that have influenced me through their kind gestures, supportive nature, and qualities that make me who I am today. During the early stages of my life, the most substantial influencer was my cousin named Chi who can be seen as a motherly figure to me. She is living proof that as long as effort is put in you will succeed sooner or later. At a young age, Chi lost her father suddenly and had to help her mom earn a living as a party planner, as time went on she became a successful money lender . Despite her hardships growing up she always liked to joke around and had the brightest smile as cheesy as it might sound. Who would expect a person with a 5'2 frame to be able to oversee the finances in the house without a proper education. The reason I look up to her was the skills she acquired in spite of the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 19. My Role Model Of My Life Essay Kevin Lamount Coley, my role model. The only male figure in my life that I want to be like. I use to mimic all your actions from your laugh to your serious face, your truly an outstanding man. Although my father and I don 't see eye to eye all the time and he can also get on my nerves sometimes. My Dad 's dedication and perseverance are absolutely fantastic; he always has, and a never give up attitude. I couldn 't fathom any other male figure being my father also I don 't want anyone other than the dad I have right now. There are endless reasons on why my Dad means so much to me, he does so much and looks for no reward. He goes above and beyond the call of duty every day, he is a leader in our community as well. My Dad is an entrepreneur, so he owns his own business. I've seen days where my dad is sick, but he still gets up around five o'clock in the morning and goes to work. He doesn't take days off; I remember asking him "Dad, how do you do it? How do you push yourself to get up and work so hard every day?" And my Dad responded by saying this, "I do it because I enjoy seeing you guys happy." At first, I didn't understand what he was implying, but as I started to ponder on his words, it became apparent to me what he had meant. When my father gets paid, he doesn't spend a dime on himself. He always makes sure my siblings and I are taken care of first before anything. Then he takes care of my mom's needs; my dad is selfless. It is not necessary that a hard working individual with a lot of experience can be a good leader, as sometimes a good leader may not be competitive as some of the employees. However, if someone, breaks the rule and constantly do so should be warned and dealt with accordingly. For example; one of my employee was not producing and was taking long breaks and due to that I had to visit and talk to him. I did not want to be harsh and cruel with him so I decided to approach him differently. I went to see him and asked him to sit down. I start by asking him the reason why am I seeing him? Apparently he knew the reason, but I did not wanted to be tough, so I asked him, how is his personal life, and what can I do to help him. Indeed, he had some personal issues which he was dealing with and because of that it was reflecting his job duties. Indeed, I also reflected on his long breaks which needs to cut down to normal. Also, if he needs any help he can feel free to discuss with me. Also, I assured him my support as long as he follows the company's guidelines which he did. My biggest challenge was how can I overcome this hurdle with him and makes him produce. Afterwards, he became one of my top producer and indeed became a supervisor. Managers should know how to take the best out of their employees by leading with example. By all means, managers and senior individuals should be the role models. Therefore, if a manager want to improve and support its employees' performance, he shall model that behavior himself first.
