Descriptive Essay About My Favorite Place
As a child, people will always remember certain destinations that stick with them that made a
good impression. I have a place that not only made a good impression, it changed me. It made me
think off all the things in life people take for granted; places, people, activates. This place brought
all though special things in life to one place where I can enjoy them all at the same time. The
Oregon coast. Traveling there, as a kid was always special. Waking up early in the morning and
driving the long trip there, going through forests, valleys, and cities. The Oregon coast is such a
broad place to describe, but in reality, all the towns have the same feel but different atmosphere.

Its cold, windy, and sunny all at the same time. The beach stretches for miles seeming endless,
until it reaches a tall cliff with waves crashing against it. The sun shines down on the moisture in
the air creating a "sparkling" affect to add to the view. In some spots on the coast giant rock
formations stick out of the water, creating a question on how they formed there. Sea creatures dot
the sand everywhere. Walking the beach with sand between your toes is and not a worry in your mind
is one of the best feelings. If you time it right early in the mornings and late in the night low tide
takes place and you can find sand dollars and unique shells. Beautiful houses and hotels line the
beach all with the same withered look they all strive to have, and balconies on every place to
capture the view. This destination is such an important place to Oregonians because its such a
magical place. It transports you into a different dimension where there are no other places like it.
You cannot be one the beach without a smile on your face, it's near impossible to be in a gloomy
mood when there. Mainly magical because you can escape there with family and friends with many
opportunities to try to experience new or traditional things. Like having a fire on a beach roasting
s'mores with family and friends, or trying weird sea creature at a restaurant. The Oregon Coast will
always hold a spot near to my heart. I can't wait for

Ethics And Moral Subjectivism
Moral Subjectivism:
Moral Subjectivism: ethical philosophical theory comes In several shapes, its most individualistic
expression is ethical subjectivism, ethical subjectivism says that the standards for what is thought –
concerning virtuously right or wrong is the people perceptions, opinions, experiences, inclinations,
and their needs.
Ethical subjectivism denies the existence of absolute, unchanging, universal moral standards.
Instead, it views ethical values as being private, individual, and subjective in nature. Statements
typical to the ethical intellect position embody these ,morality, is like the among of the eye of

Moral subjectivism assumes that no one can be wrong regarding his or her moral views. If the
individual is that the basis of moral truth, then none folks would possibly ever be mistaken in our
moral opinions, for no matter we have a tendency to tend to believe ought to be true. Clearly, ethical

Descriptive Essay About Being A Woman
It was a frigid Tuesday morning, dim light of the sun was shining from millions of miles away
brightening my day with its sparkling lights. I walked to my 76 years old grandma (Maya) house
through thin and spiky grass, giving me an unbearable feeling in my foot. As I got to my
grandma's house looking pale and a goof with cold frosty air coming out of my mouth, ringing
the bell on her door, she finally opened it. Then, she gave a tight hug with a big surprise in her face
of the joy of seeing me after a month. Her squeeze gave a feeling of warmth where I lost track of my
self–feeling safe and comfortable like a perfect dream. It had melted all my stress and gave me a
calm atmosphere of delights. As I enter her dark and cozy room, seeing many traditional types of
furniture, it had made me feel like I was living my life in the old days. Her bed felt super soft like
clouds, and I could not help myself sitting on that bed and talking with her about her life
experiences as being a woman. As we sat, she asked, "So, what brings you here today after so
long?" I was in excitement to see myself through her words of her life experiences from her
childhood. As I asked her many questions that involved gender roles of being a woman, she looked
serious with a question mark on her face. We pause for seconds; it was dead quiet, and all I could
hear is the tick–tock of an old cranking sound of a clock. She then responded, "Being a girl, I lived
in a farm–like house, it was a muddy and dirtiest place that no one can imagine living in there
today." Her response had made me terrified because of the description of the condition and the
environment she had lived during her childhood. "My brothers had gone to school while I stay
home with my mother helping her do chores and clean up animals stool, the worst smell God ever
had created." she continued, with shame on her face. I was angrily surprised to hear how much
differentiate her family kept in the gender role of her being a female. In my life, I have never
experienced or seen such a dreadful situation like how my grandma did. Afterward, being not able to
attend school had affected her entire life.
While attending school was not a priority for her because of the stereotypes of

Narrative vs. Descriptive Writing
A narrative essay uses a point of view to tell a story. It is an engaging way for an author to tell his
reader about an experience they have had or a personal story. Descriptive writing is a description of
something. It could be a person, place, thing, emotion or experience. The author is allowed more
artistic freedom when writing in descriptive form. While both descriptive and narrative essays are
similar in many ways, the descriptive essays use of language fully immerses the reader into the story
and allows the reader to feel the intended emotion. Descriptive writing is painting a vivid image.

It is very important for a narrative essay to follow a sequence of events. In the narrative essay This
Old House, the author followed a clear chronological order. Sedaris told a story that included all
of the typical components such as an introduction, and worked its way through all of the events,
introducing you to the characters and setting the stage along the way. Our book explains "As you
learned earlier, plot is the order, or sequence, of events that unfold in your story. It is crucial that
you organize these events so that, by the end of the story, they make sense to the reader and build
up to a crucial moment in the narrative. (Connell & Sole, 2013). Sedaris did an excellent job of
guiding the reader through the story. In contrast, descriptive writing does not necessarily follow a
timeline or story pattern. Descriptive style must use another form of organization. A descriptive
essay may for example separate paragraphs by the particular details being described. The author
may devote an entire paragraph to a sense, emotion or object. Amy Tan devoted one paragraph to
describe her angst and dismay "When I found out that my parents had invited the minister's family
over for Christmas Eve dinner, I cried. What would Robert think of our shabby Chinese Christmas?
What would he think of our noisy Chinese relatives who lacked proper American manners? What

Descriptive Essay On Imagine A Cloud
Ever since I was young, I have had a passion for reading and writing. It is just something that has
always come easily to me. So when eleven–year–old me walked through the dimly lit hallways of
Johnsonville Elementary School, into a strange classroom, and sat in my boxed–in–desk and was
told that I was writing a descriptive essay, I was extremely excited. It would be the first time that I
had ever written a descriptive–based paper. Nevertheless, it was a newly–introduced challenge, and I
was ready to take it on. "Okay class", said the plump teacher standing in the front of the room, "I
have been informed that each of you needs to write an essay for the state." "I hope it is about
monsters and astronauts!", the student beside me said....show more content...

thought, "What is it though?"
I went through every possible word before I finally found the word that I liked. "However, my
experience was interrupted by a screaming whistle. The train was getting ready to move and I
needed to prepare myself for it" "That sounds a lot better!", I said to myself. I kept writing. "I
then felt the train shift forwards and we started going. I looked out of the window and saw the
fluffy, Grey clouds of smoke rise above us." "Just like she told us." I wrote and smiled. "Not long
after, I heard three bold knocks on the door of the train car that I was in.", I wrote, "It was a man
wearing a nicely tailored suit asking if I wanted some sweets. Of course, I couldn't resist and took
them up in a heartbeat." I paused for a few moments, and continued "He ended up giving me some
chocolate cupcakes with the most delicious frosting that I have ever had." I started to lick my lips
from just thinking about it. "When I finished the last one, I looked out the window and saw the train
station. Just as quick as I had gotten on, the train arrived at its destination.", I concluded my paper
and read it over a thousand times. When I

Descriptive Essay On A Computer
I've always loved using computers. Ever since I was 6 years old I could never stop using them
when I got the chance, and this remains true till today. I admit the things that I would do on a
computer weren't exactly productive. I would watch a lot of cartoons and play games. My
parents weren't as enthusiastic about it as I was. They would always tell me to go do something
like read a book or go outside. I almost never follow through with their requests and so I got
grounded often. But to me it was worth it. My parents gave up trying to get me off the computer,
which is why I'm the computer addicted person I am today. When I turned 14 I became a lot
more productive when it came to using a computer. I didn't play educational games or grind on
"Khan Academy" for endless hours. Instead I learned programming languages and created some
things that I was proud of. I've created a website that makes calls to a server in which I post and
request data, a game called "Anvil Dropper", and most recently, an artificially intelligent duck that
helps keep track of who is coming in and out of a facility. All of this sounds like a lot of work but
to me personally, I never saw it as work. It was just simply fun. If you don't know already, sitting
down and being on a computer for about ten hours a day can make you feel really unhealthy. I
noticed that I couldn't do any more than 5 push–ups without taking a break, and just from that I
assumed I was going to die if I didn't get my butt off of

My main concept is the idea of Health care and illness itself in a very grim matter. Due to personal

Is Beauty Purely Subjective Or Objective?
Is beauty purely subjective or objective? Is it only white or black with no shades of gray? Both
philosophers I am going to discuss would say yes, albeit on opposite ends of the spectrum. Ducasse
defines beauty as "the capacity of an object aesthetically contemplated to yield feelings that are
pleasant" (Ducasse, 1966). In summary, he means this to say that beauty is in the eye of the
beholder. Frankly, this is a hard stance to counter because all it says is that if one thinks something is
beautiful, then it is beautiful to them. Something one may find beautiful may not be beautiful to
someone else. According to Ducasse, this is because we all have different experiences and
backgrounds that constitute who we are. The way an object is viewed can be predisposed by one's
constitution. (Ducasse, 1966). Due to the difference in constitution, Ducasse believes that beauty
cannot be objective, nor can arguments concerning the beauty of an object be valid if there are no
set standards of beauty (Ducasse, 1966).
As per Ducasse, even if the majority sees beauty in an object, there is still no evidence that the
object is objectively beautiful. Many objects have been considered beautiful throughout the
decades and centuries; however, this does not make the object a thing of objective beauty
(Ducasse, 1966). Similarly, one type of person does not have more pull or a more valuable opinion
when speaking of beauty, even if they are considered an expert (Ducasse, 1966). There are those who

Subjective Test Assessment Of Online Exams
Abstract–Subjective test is rarely used for the assessment of online test examinations. In online
examination, objective test exams are already available but the subjective test exams are in need
which is considered as the best way in terms of understanding and knowledge. This paper presents a
survey on the effective techniques for subjective test assessment. In this, the answers are
unstructured data which have to be evaluated. The evaluation is based on the semantic similarity
between the model answer and the user answer. Different techniques are compared and a new
approach is proposed to evaluate the subjective test assessment of text.
Index terms: Subjective test assessment; Online examinations; Semantic Similarity; Evaluation.
I.INTRODUCTION Although assessment is a tough job, but it can be helpful by making it
computerized. Normally, examinations are of two types objective type such as multiple choice
questions(MCQs) and subjective type such as descriptive answers pattern. Nowadays online
examinations held are multiple choice questions as bank exams, GRE, GMAT, AIEEE, etc. These
examinations are usually MCQs, where the answers are selected out of the given options. The
multiple choice is a form of assessment in which respondents are asked to select the best possible
answer (or answers) out of the choices from a list. If guessing an answer, there 's usually a 25
percent chance of getting it correct on a 4 answer choice question. Finding the right answer from

situations. The way an individual acts, speaks, or even discerns can lead to circumstances and

the boxes of candies. After a thorough investigation, I finally found a large box filled with the
sweet and savory Kitkats hiding on the bottom shelf of the rack. My over excited heart started

Descriptive Essay About Times Square
When you mention New York to anyone, they automatically think about Times Square. This
beautiful place with skyscrapers, Central Park, and a unique transportation system. However, if
you were to ask me what I think about New York; I believe the skyscrapers block the sun, Central
park is just a regular park for dogs, and the subway trains rarely run consistently especially in the
mornings. I have lived in New York for 18 years, and I have yet to understand what everyone likes
about the " Big Red Apple." Growing up as a resident of New York, one is taught that there's an
opportunity in every corner, but that's not exactly what I see. I have gone to all the tourist sights,
and have yet to find it as fascinating as other states such as: California, Florida, Virginia, Boston
or even Washington D.C.. Times Square was beautiful in the beginning, but then you get
harassed by every person with a costume on, or even if you take a picture with Elmo they charge
you five dollars. Everything is also overpriced, no one should be paying a hundred dollars to ride
on a horse, or paying three dollars per minute on a bicycle ride. Many neighborhoods have
changed, if you go down to Brooklyn it is now hipster, and isn't the way it was before which was
considered the "ghetto." Everyone is paying for an experience that can be found in any state and at
any time. Also, the traffic that goes on in the trains and on the streets is insane. Whether you take
the Long Island expressway, the Clearview expressway or any other expressway you are going to
find traffic.
New york is probably known as one of the most rat infested city. There are many programs that try
to end the rat dilemma, but the rat population is so large that it's hard to control. Not only are rats
found on the train, they are also found in neighborhoods such as the Bronx. Many people complain
about the rat situation to the city, but the homeowners take no action when it's time to clean up their
own mess (Bragdon et al., 2007–2009). Many of the rats that are seen all over the city are huge, and
go crawling around for any food that they can find, mainly in trash cans. Whitestone, Queens is the
neighborhood that I grew up in. Whitestone is a small community, predominantly

objective description draws from your five senses; subjective description ultimately gives a reader
an emotional feeling. The author mainly used a variety of objective descriptions while describing
the feeling of the sun, feeling of the water, and the taste of the salt from the ocean. Carey Braun
additionally used subjective description in her essay as well. This form of description was used
when describing the sunset and how the power of light can change everything.

doctoral study proposals. Qualitative researchers focus on subjective experiences of human beings
in a social environment, based on individual perspectives (Liamputtong, 2010). Qualitative research
deals with interpretive data from natural settings and individual perceptions and experiences
(Erlingsson & Brysiewicz, 2013). Researchers should be aware of the different experiences of the
participants in the study (Erlingsson & Brysiewicz, 2013). A qualitative method allows a researcher
to assess the qualities of participants' lived experiences in an inductive process that relates to theory

beneficial in determining how small businesses market products and services (O'Donnell et al., 2011).

Descriptive Essay On Art
So, what is art? Art is a arrangement of ideas that an artist makes or builds. There are various
variations for art that express their found creativity and inspiration to their artwork. Many people
make art to display their emotions and ideas towards life or to create something beautiful for
spectators. Art is a form of pleasure which appeases the audience to stay connected or feel fixated on
that certain artwork. Art is understood through focusing on its: function, visual form, content and
creativity. It should communicate with the viewers and help them imagine the concept of the
artwork. They should also qualify work that could be seen or physically felt, displaying their ideas to
be conveyed to the public. Imagery and symbolic meaning should be present with their art piece. In
addition, they must portray their creativity and imagination on a canvas or any work of art. In my
opinion, art is a representation of your thoughts and emotions portrayed to the audience in a
perceivable and communicative manner, helping the audience connect with the artwork.
The creativity of paintings helps the viewer understand the artist's emotions, as well as their art piece.
Pablo Picasso, one of the greatest painters of the twentieth century, helped me understand more
about art, as well as his point of view of his own style or method to display his emotions onto a
canvas. I learned that Picasso was the creator of modern arts through his imaginative and innovative

Ocean Descriptive Essay
I stand at the edge where two worlds collide. The oceans exude power and confindence yet its are

Descriptive Essay About Beauty
I think our minds are obsessed with beauty. We envy those we cannot be. We strive to have this
picture perfect life, or something close to it. When I was younger, I was never out going or the kid
that talked all the time. That just wasn't me. I never thought of myself as beautiful. I thought I was
pretty, but in my mind, to be truly beautiful, one must possess other characteristics beyond the
physical realm. To be exquisite, perfectly, and wholeheartedly beautiful, one must be: independent,
self–confident, and happy. I didn't see this in myself at the time, but how could I? I was still in

I hated shopping. But this lady with her textured turtleneck always mesmerized me with how
powerfully she presented herself. She was always so polished and prim. I never remember a
Sunday where she looked like the overworked mother, or the stress ridden woman trying to keep
her life together. No, she was quite the opposite. She was in complete control of her life.
Years passed by, I no longer saw any of her kids. Her husband, who was quite obviously older than
her, began to deteriorate. He had surgery that left him unable to walk without assistance. She was
always there, guiding him, smiling at him, helping him into the car. She maintained the same
calm, loving style towards him, before and after. At this point, I was quite a bit older. I
understood death. I could tell just by looking at him, that his time was coming to an end; anyone
could. But she paid no attention to that. She appeared older than before. Not in sense that she was
dying, but she seemed like she had accomplished whatever she wanted in life. She seemed serene,
they both did. It was in those last few months they had together that I saw a couple truly in love.
They were happy. I've never seen anything like that before. I don't think that people genuinely
understand their feelings for a person until they've lived without him or her or they know that that
time is coming. She never once showed any sadness or sorrow. She remained as caring and as gentle

Americans, Mexicans who maybe documented or undocumented, and whites who are low income.
The houses around my place are mainly apartments and houses that look torn down, but it's not all

mainly older people around older 30s to 40s except with heavy attitude. They're always stealing
things, having fights, and have parties every weekend with such loud noise that why I get

Descriptive Essay About A Storm
Before the storm had been cast upon us, the day was filled with normality and tranquility; one may
even consider it to be of a flawless day. I had woken with my brother's warmth beside me and our
mother nudging my back with her damp, charcoal nose. Apprehensively, we crossed the running
river – the nipping water grazing my belly at its highest points – and upon the reach of the shore, we
each left marks of our own paws within the pleasant earth. Ambling below the canopy of branches
and clouds, our mother led us to a sunny clearing encircled with berries, apple trees, and other
treats. Together we feasted under the azure sky, and my brother and I rolled around in the riches
with playful ideas, gaining concerned and heartfelt glances from mother. The day could be
portrayed in one word, a simple word: perfect. But soon the day grew old, and the sun began to
retire towards the overlooking horizon. We started our trek back to our cave hollowed into the hill
of rocks and pines, but without warning, the blue sky grew into one of the darkest greys. Like ink
spreading in water, the somber clouds consumed the heavens. The rain had first fallen limited and
lightly, but, nonetheless, developed into grand droplets plunging rapidly towards us. The storm
filled the air with an eerie sense, causing my brother and I to hibernate closer to each other and our
mother, who remained unrelenting against the downpour. With brown coats drenched in rainfall, we
finally found ourselves at the edge

  • 2. Descriptive Essay About My Favorite Place As a child, people will always remember certain destinations that stick with them that made a good impression. I have a place that not only made a good impression, it changed me. It made me think off all the things in life people take for granted; places, people, activates. This place brought all though special things in life to one place where I can enjoy them all at the same time. The Oregon coast. Traveling there, as a kid was always special. Waking up early in the morning and driving the long trip there, going through forests, valleys, and cities. The Oregon coast is such a broad place to describe, but in reality, all the towns have the same feel but different atmosphere. Pacific City is small and quiet with a great...show more content... Its cold, windy, and sunny all at the same time. The beach stretches for miles seeming endless, until it reaches a tall cliff with waves crashing against it. The sun shines down on the moisture in the air creating a "sparkling" affect to add to the view. In some spots on the coast giant rock formations stick out of the water, creating a question on how they formed there. Sea creatures dot the sand everywhere. Walking the beach with sand between your toes is and not a worry in your mind is one of the best feelings. If you time it right early in the mornings and late in the night low tide takes place and you can find sand dollars and unique shells. Beautiful houses and hotels line the beach all with the same withered look they all strive to have, and balconies on every place to capture the view. This destination is such an important place to Oregonians because its such a magical place. It transports you into a different dimension where there are no other places like it. You cannot be one the beach without a smile on your face, it's near impossible to be in a gloomy mood when there. Mainly magical because you can escape there with family and friends with many opportunities to try to experience new or traditional things. Like having a fire on a beach roasting s'mores with family and friends, or trying weird sea creature at a restaurant. The Oregon Coast will always hold a spot near to my heart. • 3. Ethics And Moral Subjectivism Moral Subjectivism: Moral Subjectivism: ethical philosophical theory comes In several shapes, its most individualistic expression is ethical subjectivism, ethical subjectivism says that the standards for what is thought – concerning virtuously right or wrong is the people perceptions, opinions, experiences, inclinations, and their needs. Ethical subjectivism denies the existence of absolute, unchanging, universal moral standards. Instead, it views ethical values as being private, individual, and subjective in nature. Statements typical to the ethical intellect position embody these ,morality, is like the among of the eye of beholder and its most descriptive statement is that, no matter somebody thinks is correct is correct. • 4. Descriptive Essay About Being A Woman It was a frigid Tuesday morning, dim light of the sun was shining from millions of miles away brightening my day with its sparkling lights. I walked to my 76 years old grandma (Maya) house through thin and spiky grass, giving me an unbearable feeling in my foot. As I got to my grandma's house looking pale and a goof with cold frosty air coming out of my mouth, ringing the bell on her door, she finally opened it. Then, she gave a tight hug with a big surprise in her face of the joy of seeing me after a month. Her squeeze gave a feeling of warmth where I lost track of my self–feeling safe and comfortable like a perfect dream. It had melted all my stress and gave me a calm atmosphere of delights. As I enter her dark and cozy room, seeing many traditional types of furniture, it had made me feel like I was living my life in the old days. Her bed felt super soft like clouds, and I could not help myself sitting on that bed and talking with her about her life experiences as being a woman. As we sat, she asked, "So, what brings you here today after so long?" I was in excitement to see myself through her words of her life experiences from her childhood. As I asked her many questions that involved gender roles of being a woman, she looked serious with a question mark on her face. We pause for seconds; it was dead quiet, and all I could hear is the tick–tock of an old cranking sound of a clock. She then responded, "Being a girl, I lived in a farm–like house, it was a muddy and dirtiest place that no one can imagine living in there today." Her response had made me terrified because of the description of the condition and the environment she had lived during her childhood. "My brothers had gone to school while I stay home with my mother helping her do chores and clean up animals stool, the worst smell God ever had created." she continued, with shame on her face. I was angrily surprised to hear how much differentiate her family kept in the gender role of her being a female. In my life, I have never experienced or seen such a dreadful situation like how my grandma did. Afterward, being not able to attend school had affected her entire life. While attending school was not a priority for her because of the stereotypes of Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Narrative vs. Descriptive Writing A narrative essay uses a point of view to tell a story. It is an engaging way for an author to tell his reader about an experience they have had or a personal story. Descriptive writing is a description of something. It could be a person, place, thing, emotion or experience. The author is allowed more artistic freedom when writing in descriptive form. While both descriptive and narrative essays are similar in many ways, the descriptive essays use of language fully immerses the reader into the story and allows the reader to feel the intended emotion. Descriptive writing is painting a vivid image. When reading I want to be able to lose myself in the writing doesn't everyone? Both narrative and descriptive writing include...show more content... It is very important for a narrative essay to follow a sequence of events. In the narrative essay This Old House, the author followed a clear chronological order. Sedaris told a story that included all of the typical components such as an introduction, and worked its way through all of the events, introducing you to the characters and setting the stage along the way. Our book explains "As you learned earlier, plot is the order, or sequence, of events that unfold in your story. It is crucial that you organize these events so that, by the end of the story, they make sense to the reader and build up to a crucial moment in the narrative. (Connell & Sole, 2013). Sedaris did an excellent job of guiding the reader through the story. In contrast, descriptive writing does not necessarily follow a timeline or story pattern. Descriptive style must use another form of organization. A descriptive essay may for example separate paragraphs by the particular details being described. The author may devote an entire paragraph to a sense, emotion or object. Amy Tan devoted one paragraph to describe her angst and dismay "When I found out that my parents had invited the minister's family over for Christmas Eve dinner, I cried. What would Robert think of our shabby Chinese Christmas? What would he think of our noisy Chinese relatives who lacked proper American manners? • 6. Descriptive Essay On Imagine A Cloud Ever since I was young, I have had a passion for reading and writing. It is just something that has always come easily to me. So when eleven–year–old me walked through the dimly lit hallways of Johnsonville Elementary School, into a strange classroom, and sat in my boxed–in–desk and was told that I was writing a descriptive essay, I was extremely excited. It would be the first time that I had ever written a descriptive–based paper. Nevertheless, it was a newly–introduced challenge, and I was ready to take it on. "Okay class", said the plump teacher standing in the front of the room, "I have been informed that each of you needs to write an essay for the state." "I hope it is about monsters and astronauts!", the student beside me said....show more content... "I then sat down in my seat and felt the cotton–lined cushions. They were the softest things that I had ever felt and I truly would never forget them", I added. I then continued, "However, my experience was interrupted by a loud tra–". Again, I didn't like that. "There must be a better word than loud.", I thought, "What is it though?" I went through every possible word before I finally found the word that I liked. "However, my experience was interrupted by a screaming whistle. The train was getting ready to move and I needed to prepare myself for it" "That sounds a lot better!", I said to myself. I kept writing. "I then felt the train shift forwards and we started going. I looked out of the window and saw the fluffy, Grey clouds of smoke rise above us." "Just like she told us." I wrote and smiled. "Not long after, I heard three bold knocks on the door of the train car that I was in.", I wrote, "It was a man wearing a nicely tailored suit asking if I wanted some sweets. Of course, I couldn't resist and took them up in a heartbeat." I paused for a few moments, and continued "He ended up giving me some chocolate cupcakes with the most delicious frosting that I have ever had." I started to lick my lips from just thinking about it. "When I finished the last one, I looked out the window and saw the train station. Just as quick as I had gotten on, the train arrived at its destination.", I concluded my paper and read it over a thousand times. When I Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. Descriptive Essay On A Computer I've always loved using computers. Ever since I was 6 years old I could never stop using them when I got the chance, and this remains true till today. I admit the things that I would do on a computer weren't exactly productive. I would watch a lot of cartoons and play games. My parents weren't as enthusiastic about it as I was. They would always tell me to go do something like read a book or go outside. I almost never follow through with their requests and so I got grounded often. But to me it was worth it. My parents gave up trying to get me off the computer, which is why I'm the computer addicted person I am today. When I turned 14 I became a lot more productive when it came to using a computer. I didn't play educational games or grind on "Khan Academy" for endless hours. Instead I learned programming languages and created some things that I was proud of. I've created a website that makes calls to a server in which I post and request data, a game called "Anvil Dropper", and most recently, an artificially intelligent duck that helps keep track of who is coming in and out of a facility. All of this sounds like a lot of work but to me personally, I never saw it as work. It was just simply fun. If you don't know already, sitting down and being on a computer for about ten hours a day can make you feel really unhealthy. I noticed that I couldn't do any more than 5 push–ups without taking a break, and just from that I assumed I was going to die if I didn't get my butt off of Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. Subjective Art Research My main concept is the idea of Health care and illness itself in a very grim matter. Due to personal reason, I feel that health care is turning away from an Ethical and helpful standing into a profitable one. I wanted to express the distressing journey that a person has to go through in order to get "treated". Another things I am going to express is my outrage about what society deems to be "healthy" and "unhealthy", such as mental disorders= healthy. In my research my artist are very different in diversity, I did not want to restrict myself in one type of media. • 9. Is Beauty Purely Subjective Or Objective? Is beauty purely subjective or objective? Is it only white or black with no shades of gray? Both philosophers I am going to discuss would say yes, albeit on opposite ends of the spectrum. Ducasse defines beauty as "the capacity of an object aesthetically contemplated to yield feelings that are pleasant" (Ducasse, 1966). In summary, he means this to say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Frankly, this is a hard stance to counter because all it says is that if one thinks something is beautiful, then it is beautiful to them. Something one may find beautiful may not be beautiful to someone else. According to Ducasse, this is because we all have different experiences and backgrounds that constitute who we are. The way an object is viewed can be predisposed by one's constitution. (Ducasse, 1966). Due to the difference in constitution, Ducasse believes that beauty cannot be objective, nor can arguments concerning the beauty of an object be valid if there are no set standards of beauty (Ducasse, 1966). As per Ducasse, even if the majority sees beauty in an object, there is still no evidence that the object is objectively beautiful. Many objects have been considered beautiful throughout the decades and centuries; however, this does not make the object a thing of objective beauty (Ducasse, 1966). Similarly, one type of person does not have more pull or a more valuable opinion when speaking of beauty, even if they are considered an expert (Ducasse, 1966). In online examination, objective test exams are already available but the subjective test exams are in need which is considered as the best way in terms of understanding and knowledge. This paper presents a survey on the effective techniques for subjective test assessment. In this, the answers are unstructured data which have to be evaluated. The evaluation is based on the semantic similarity between the model answer and the user answer. Different techniques are compared and a new approach is proposed to evaluate the subjective test assessment of text. Index terms: Subjective test assessment; Online examinations; Semantic Similarity; Evaluation. I.INTRODUCTION Although assessment is a tough job, but it can be helpful by making it computerized. Normally, examinations are of two types objective type such as multiple choice questions(MCQs) and subjective type such as descriptive answers pattern. Nowadays online examinations held are multiple choice questions as bank exams, GRE, GMAT, AIEEE, etc. These examinations are usually MCQs, where the answers are selected out of the given options. The multiple choice is a form of assessment in which respondents are asked to select the best possible answer (or answers) out of the choices from a list. • 11. Descriptive Essay About Personal Experience Fear, guilt, happiness, and anger are emotions which individuals can be struck with at the most unexpected time, but as human beings, we have experienced all of these feelings a plethora of times over the course of life. Emotions and feelings are the results of one's actions that lead to situations. The way an individual acts, speaks, or even discerns can lead to circumstances and ultimately trigger emotions, which in the end, possibly provide you with a valuable lesson. I got very restless as she opened for business, since I didn't know how to spend my time, I lead my feet to the coolers located on the far opposite side of the checkout area that were filled with different types of waters and juices. Although I was tempted to pick out a juice, I chose a strawberry flavored water, and I decided to save the juice for later. With my drink, I happily walked to the candy aisle that was in between the tobacco and cigarette aisles. My eyes couldn 't locate the KitKat wafers, my all–time favorite chocolate bar. As a result, I dragged myself back to the comfort of my chair empty handed. I felt like a sportsperson who just came home defeated from a championship game. My eyes ogled at the rack, from a great distance, while my heart wept and yearned for the treat. My mind, the biggest asset of my body, told my muscles to reevaluate the aisle. With a small ray of hope buried deep in my heart, I swiftly and carefully ran to the rack and inspected the candies again. The nervousness on my face made me lethargic as I inspected each of the boxes of candies. After a thorough investigation, I finally found a large box filled with the sweet and savory Kitkats hiding on the bottom shelf of the rack. My over excited heart started celebrating, while my mind remembered to seek permission. With my childlike innocence, I approached my mom and asked her by faking a naive look, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. Descriptive Essay About Times Square When you mention New York to anyone, they automatically think about Times Square. This beautiful place with skyscrapers, Central Park, and a unique transportation system. However, if you were to ask me what I think about New York; I believe the skyscrapers block the sun, Central park is just a regular park for dogs, and the subway trains rarely run consistently especially in the mornings. I have lived in New York for 18 years, and I have yet to understand what everyone likes about the " Big Red Apple." Growing up as a resident of New York, one is taught that there's an opportunity in every corner, but that's not exactly what I see. I have gone to all the tourist sights, and have yet to find it as fascinating as other states such as: California, Florida, Virginia, Boston or even Washington D.C.. Times Square was beautiful in the beginning, but then you get harassed by every person with a costume on, or even if you take a picture with Elmo they charge you five dollars. Everything is also overpriced, no one should be paying a hundred dollars to ride on a horse, or paying three dollars per minute on a bicycle ride. Many neighborhoods have changed, if you go down to Brooklyn it is now hipster, and isn't the way it was before which was considered the "ghetto." Everyone is paying for an experience that can be found in any state and at any time. Also, the traffic that goes on in the trains and on the streets is insane. Whether you take the Long Island expressway, the Clearview expressway or any other expressway you are going to find traffic. New york is probably known as one of the most rat infested city. There are many programs that try to end the rat dilemma, but the rat population is so large that it's hard to control. Not only are rats found on the train, they are also found in neighborhoods such as the Bronx. Many people complain about the rat situation to the city, but the homeowners take no action when it's time to clean up their own mess (Bragdon et al., 2007–2009). Many of the rats that are seen all over the city are huge, and go crawling around for any food that they can find, mainly in trash cans. Whitestone, Queens is the neighborhood that I grew up in. Qualitative research deals with interpretive data from natural settings and individual perceptions and experiences (Erlingsson & Brysiewicz, 2013). Researchers should be aware of the different experiences of the participants in the study (Erlingsson & Brysiewicz, 2013). A qualitative method allows a researcher to assess the qualities of participants' lived experiences in an inductive process that relates to theory development (Peredaryenko & Krauss, 2013). A qualitative method is appropriate for this study because it will help me to become knowledgeable about the experiences, processes, and events of consultants and executives in small retail storefront travel agencies (Bluhm, Harman, Lee, & Mitchell, 2011). According to Bettiol et al. (2012), a qualitative method is useful for exploring marketing in businesses and understanding business activities in companies. A qualitative method is beneficial in determining how small businesses market products and services (O'Donnell et al., 2011). Quantitative research methods comprise surveys: questionnaires or interviews and experiments: field or laboratory. Surveys are the primary method of quantitative research. • 17. Ocean Descriptive Essay I stand at the edge where two worlds collide. The oceans exude power and confindence yet its are the connector to everyone. Here at the ocean, your peace can be found in the middle of this chaotic world. This is where people can lose themselves in the beauty, tranquility and the uncontrollable power of the ocean. I stand on the edge looking forward the ocean seems endless. Some people believe at the horizon there is nothing just a place where the moon, star and the sun hide until they shall return. Scrunching my toes into the damp sand from the high tide. The sand is like rough sandpaper on my bare feet. Whispers of the warm sea breeze as it skips over the lulling waves. The breeze carries the salty aroma that swirls in my nose leaving a feeling of tranquility and safety. Listening to the thundering raspy echo's of the waves as they churn crumbling into whitewash chaos deafening my ears to whatever else is around me. The squawking of the protectors of the ocean as they circle above, master of catching the upward sea breeze drafts. Watching the waves draw in a breath of air and sighing deeply gradually crawling along each grain of sand stretching itself out thin to reach my feet. The ocean breathes in again as the thin layer of water returns into the depths of the unknown. The sun slowly simmers down into the horizon. The ocean reflecting a amber orange painting on its mesmerizing turquoise canvas. The warmth of the air is replaced by chills. • 18. Descriptive Essay About Beauty I think our minds are obsessed with beauty. We envy those we cannot be. We strive to have this picture perfect life, or something close to it. When I was younger, I was never out going or the kid that talked all the time. That just wasn't me. I never thought of myself as beautiful. I thought I was pretty, but in my mind, to be truly beautiful, one must possess other characteristics beyond the physical realm. To be exquisite, perfectly, and wholeheartedly beautiful, one must be: independent, self–confident, and happy. I didn't see this in myself at the time, but how could I? I was still in elementary school. There is one woman, however, who I considered being one of the most beautiful beings. She is partially the reason I am the person I am...show more content... I hated shopping. But this lady with her textured turtleneck always mesmerized me with how powerfully she presented herself. She was always so polished and prim. I never remember a Sunday where she looked like the overworked mother, or the stress ridden woman trying to keep her life together. No, she was quite the opposite. She was in complete control of her life. Years passed by, I no longer saw any of her kids. Her husband, who was quite obviously older than her, began to deteriorate. He had surgery that left him unable to walk without assistance. She was always there, guiding him, smiling at him, helping him into the car. She maintained the same calm, loving style towards him, before and after. At this point, I was quite a bit older. I understood death. I could tell just by looking at him, that his time was coming to an end; anyone could. But she paid no attention to that. She appeared older than before. Not in sense that she was dying, but she seemed like she had accomplished whatever she wanted in life. She seemed serene, they both did. It was in those last few months they had together that I saw a couple truly in love. They were happy. I've never seen anything like that before. I don't think that people genuinely understand their feelings for a person until they've lived without him or her or they know that that time is coming. She never once showed any sadness or sorrow. • 20. Descriptive Essay About A Storm Before the storm had been cast upon us, the day was filled with normality and tranquility; one may even consider it to be of a flawless day. I had woken with my brother's warmth beside me and our mother nudging my back with her damp, charcoal nose. Apprehensively, we crossed the running river – the nipping water grazing my belly at its highest points – and upon the reach of the shore, we each left marks of our own paws within the pleasant earth. Ambling below the canopy of branches and clouds, our mother led us to a sunny clearing encircled with berries, apple trees, and other treats. Together we feasted under the azure sky, and my brother and I rolled around in the riches with playful ideas, gaining concerned and heartfelt glances from mother. The day could be portrayed in one word, a simple word: perfect. But soon the day grew old, and the sun began to retire towards the overlooking horizon. We started our trek back to our cave hollowed into the hill of rocks and pines, but without warning, the blue sky grew into one of the darkest greys. Like ink spreading in water, the somber clouds consumed the heavens. The rain had first fallen limited and lightly, but, nonetheless, developed into grand droplets plunging rapidly towards us. The storm filled the air with an eerie sense, causing my brother and I to hibernate closer to each other and our mother, who remained unrelenting against the downpour. With brown coats drenched in rainfall, we finally found ourselves at the edge Get more content on HelpWriting.net
