SHANA LORY
Alpine Investors
Shana’s passion for understanding people and aligning them to
their highest expression of self led her to pivot from her career in
advertising strategy and become a trained and certified coach and
workshop facilitator. Her personal mission is to heal the American
workplace. She has worked with hundreds of creative industry
professionals to level-up their careers, has taught goal-setting
workshops, and has worked in Learning & Development at
Citigroup, facilitating leadership development workshops for
mid-career managers. Shana is currently a PeopleFirst facilitator
with Alpine Investors, a San Francisco-based private equity firm.
BILL HERRICK
Catholic Charities Steuben, NY
Bill Herrick is the Data Coordinator for Catholic Charities of
Steuben, a role he's been in only since the beginning of 2019. Bill
has been with Catholic Charities of Steuben in various counseling
and supervisory roles for over five years supporting people with
substance abuse disorders and working with people in poverty.
As Data Coordinator, Bill trains over 30 staff to enter data
accurately in AWARDS, provides Helpdesk Support, runs various
reports for funders, and provides needed data to different staff and
committees. By the end of the year, Bill will have onboarded and
trained another Catholic Charities of Steuben program to use
AWARDS instead of using paper documentation. Bill's work has
helped programs to input data more accurately in order to
procure more funding. He has also modified various AWARDS
reporting mechanisms in order help programs keep better track of
their data so that programs do not have to use the dreaded
spreadsheet. This new Data Coordinator position at Catholic
Charities of Steuben has expanded quickly as the agency moves
towards Value Based Payment with various funders including
Medicaid. In Bill's free time, he enjoys spending time with family,
making wine, and listening to music.

GEOFF COOPER
CaraSolva
Geoff Cooper is President of CaraSolva CaraSolva which delivers
Electronic Point of Care Medication Management for Human
Services Healthcare providers. Previously he was CIO of Sunrise
Medical a manufacturer of Home Medical Equipment products
including: Hoyer Lifts, Quickie wheelchairs and Dynavox speech
devices. Geoff served on the University of Colorado Business
School IT Advisory Board, and taught the Technology and Privacy
class. He is a past President of the Colorado Chapter of the Society
of Information Management (SIM), and was previously named to
the CIO magazine High Performance 100. Geoff obtained a BS
degree from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and a MBA from
the University of Michigan.
KEVIN LUFF
CaraSolva
Kevin Luff is the Vice-President of Sales Operations for CaraSolva.
CaraSolva provides eMAR and point-of-care services for Human
Services Healthcare providers. Prior to joining CaraSolva, Kevin had
spent the previous 18 years focused on software solutions for
development testing/quality assurance and
performance/availability monitoring for Enterprise Applications. In
Senior Sales Management roles at Hewlett-Packard, Mercury, and
Freshwater Software, Kevin had responsibility managing sales
operations to all segments and verticals in the marketplace, from
Fortune 500 to Small and Medium Business (SMB). Kevin earned a
BA in Communications from the Lewis & Clark College in Portland,
Oregon and an MBA, with a focus in technology, from the University
of Denver. Kevin is an active participant in the non-profit community
of Boulder. He is a long-time Board Member of Emergency Family
Assistance (EFFA), recently serving as Board President.

KRISTEN BULAS
Department for Persons with Disabilities, NJ
Kris joined DPD in 1998 after earning her bachelor's degree in
Psychology from Montclair State University. She has worked in
several capacities at DPD including: as Area Supervisor at Gruenert
Center Day Program, as Associate Director of Wallace House group
home for four years and was then promoted to Personal Plan (IHP)
Coordinator at Gruenert Center in 2011. She then became DPD's first
Support Coordinator in 2013 during when NJ DDD moved from a
contract based payment to the Fee for Service model. She was
promoted to Director of Support Coordination in late 2014. Kris has
enjoyed the opportunity to oversee and shape the program as it
has grown, now serving over 200 individuals in Sussex County. In
addition, since 2013, she has also served as the agency
administrator of AWARDS for DPD, and was directly involved in the
agency’s initial set-up, implementation and training for staff to use
AWARDS. She continues to work towards increased usage and
understanding of the system for all staff at DPD.
MICHELE MEYER
Department for Persons with Disabilities, NJ
Michele is a graduate from Montclair State with a B.S. in
Psychology. She has been working in the field of adult services for
the past 20+ years and has held many positions working
extensively in residential and day programs. She has been a
Program Manager, Director of Residential Services and Director of
Quality Assurance and Operations. She was the lead in the,
customization implementation, training, and oversight of the
AWARDS program at JSDD from 2013-2019; and is the Co-chair of
the Committee of NJ Provider agency users of Foothold
Technologies AWARDS. She has been very proactive in developing
a supportive network of professionals. Now at DPD as the
Compliance and Quality Officer, her knowledge of the AWARDS
program benefits her and the agency in formatting and creating
reports to monitor compliance and identify training opportunities.

CHRIS BENSON
New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency (NJHMFA)
Chris Benson is a Technical Assistant/Trainer at the HMIS
department at the New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance
Agency. His first experience in social work was in 2017, when
he joined O.C.E.A.N., Inc. There he worked with consumers and
agency executives to deliver services in Monmouth, Ocean, and
Atlantic counties. Chris joined NJHMFA in August of 2017. One of the
first assignments he was given was to work with the Morris County
Continuum of Care to fully integrate their coordinated entry projects
into AWARDS. This consisted of creating multiple evaluation tools
and waiting lists in AWARDS while providing policy guidance as
needed. In addition to improving the services available in Morris
County, this experience has provided a template as other
communities across the state look to move their coordinated entry
process fully onto AWARDS. Before working in social services, Chris
spent the majority of career as a coach and educator.
DOMINIQUE L. SINGLETARY
The Bridge, NY
Dominique Singletary has been working for The Bridge, Inc. for well
over a decade. As a teenager he started out at the Bridge as a
part-time residential counselor. In this very intimate setting he built
strong relationships with clients and demonstrated an ability to
work closely with individuals who have mental health and
substance use issues. Dom was motivated to do more, and applied
for a new position within the Bridge at the Clinical Hub as an
administrative assistant for the Adult Mental Health Clinic, PROS
and the OASAS program. In these programs he worked alongside
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, Psychiatrists, Social Workers,
Peer Specialist and the billing team. Dom took on a leadership role
amongst his peers and quickly became central to the administrative
functioning. Under new leadership in 2018, Dom was promoted to
the Administrative Coordinator over all of the administrative staff in
the Clinical Hub. It was in this role, Dom has been essential to
bringing organizational change.

work plan to improve your overall usage of AWARDS. This session
