2. Hair & Make Up
โข Hair and make up for the two main
protagonists will not be very
extreme; it will be natural and will
look fresh to enhance the
connotation of innocence, much like
Jennifer Lawrence in House at the
End of the Street and Kate Hudson
in The Skeleton Key.
โข For the third girl who is kidnapped,
we have discussed using make up
to make her look gaunt and
distressed when she is found with
messier hair than the other two.
3. Costume
โข The costumes for all three girls would be very simple,
something similar to just jeans and a t shirt, as the
audiences main focus should be the characters themselves
rather than what they are wearing.
4. Costume
โข The antagonists are a cult, so their costume must be
identical. I have thought about dressing them either in all
white or all black robes, but to make it more contemporary I
have thought about just having them in all black trousers,
hoodies and boots. I also think their faces should be covered
either by theatrical masks, much like in The Purge or just
plain ski masks, depending on what the desired effect upon
the audience will be.
5. Location
โข Our location is going to be somewhere that comes across to
the audience as desolate and isolated. I would ideally like to
find a derelict house that is out of the way as this secludes
the situation from the real world. The rest of the scenes will
be shot in a normal town or on an everyday street to
contrast the supernatural elements of the other building.
6. Props
โข We have considered using a ouija board or something
similar which will be how the spirit ends up inside the girl.
โข There will be a box or some form of container which the
cult will use to capture the spirit.
โข We will need props such as the alcohol bottles as well as
pictures which will be memorabilia for the girls.
