When members ignore the command you
get needless division, carnal living, and
endless strife
So, how do we obey the command to:
Let there be no divisions among you?
Be joined together in the same mind?
Be joined together in the same judgment?

3. The same standard
• That gives us the same VALUES
• That gives us the same PRINCIPLES
The same diligence to APPLY the standard
• The mind of God becoming our mind – 1 Cor.2
• The cross of Christ effectively transforming our

• The carnal mind dissipating – 1 Cor.3,5,11
• The selfish mind being put to death – Gal.2:20

4. Would not be divided
All members would be focused on Jesus
and His will
Carnal pettiness would dissolve into
appreciation and love – 1 Cor.3,8
Carnal lifestyles would dissolve into holy
living – 1 Cor.5-6
Competition for recognition would dissolve
into glorification of Christ –ch.13-14
