Aga Khan Hospital.

and brother.
When her father and husband left her she adopted her son

7. (THE ACCIDENT)
“The driver slept and my car fell into
a ditch,”,
“When the driver jumped out of the
car, I believed I was going to die.
After taking me out of the ditch, I
was put in a jeep as there weren’t
any ambulances nearby in
Baluchistan.
8. (THE ACCIDENT)
I asked people where my legs
were.
They said, “
They are right here.”
I was very composed, I didn’t cry.
At the hospital, I told the
doctors, ‘I’m half paralyzed,
I can’t feel anything.’
I was in physical pain, but I
didn’t cry.
9. (THE ACCIDENT)
At that time my first thought
was I’m 21 and I’ve done
nothing with my life. I have
never lived for myself.
I spent my life studying hard.
I lost consciousness after the
accident and my backbone was
crushed.
10. (THE ACCIDENT)
I didn’t cry till I was alone in the hospital
with my mother weeks later.
My mother asked me to write something
with my deformed hand.
I tried to write Allah on a piece of paper but
I couldn’t manage.
That’s when I finally broke down and started
screaming and crying.
I realized I had lost something really big
many people who were close to me had given
up on me.
11. (THE ACCIDENT)
For the next two years, I remain on bed.
I couldn’t brush my teeth or make my hair
properly.
I used to hang my hair upside down from one
side of the bed so I could brush it.
Once, the brush got stuck in my hair.
I was so annoyed and felt helpless.
She used to chop her hair off, in frustration,
when they used to get stuck in hair brush.
I still remember my hair was long in the front and
short in the back.”

most difficult years of her Life.
But her bravery started dominating all these painful
feelings.
14. CONTINOUS….
Her true strength was always her mother who continuously
motivated her and heightened her spirit.
Because of encouragement by doctors, she started her old
passion, Painting.
Her brother Omar supported her a lot during her days in
Hospital.
She still remembers Salman Taseer (Ex-Governor of Punjab),
He bought all her Paintings to motivate her.
She did not blame others for all these events instead
became a Source of Positive Energy for others.
15. THE RECOVERY
“I was so happy when I sat on a wheelchair for the first time.
So what if I lost my legs? I have two wheels now.
The first thing I did was to put on some lipstick and check myself out in
the mirror.
I thought that I looked like a clown and that a person on a wheelchair
can never look good, so I removed the lipstick. But then I put it back on
because I decided to accept myself for the way I am.
16. COMING BACK TO LIFE
I became so brave after the accident.
After losing so much and being surrounded by so much
negativity,
I realised I had nothing left to lose.
I wanted to prove to the world that a disabled person can live
a happy.
