Psychology: The Nature v. Nurture Question
One major aspect of
psychology is the Nature v.
Nurture debate. The essential
question is “Which aspect is
more influential on human
behavior, genetic make-up or
the environment in which we
are raised?
Be sure to include your own opinion
about which influence is stronger in your
forum post.
Celebrations today for Ramon, Celeste
and Jackson for picking a side and
defending it with great facts in the
forum!
Psychology: The Biological
Perspective
Sometimes it is difficult to determine our
ability to stay calm in a crisis is due to your
genetic makeup or from how we watched
a parent, teacher, or peer handle
situations. Of course, both factors play a
significant role but science is interested in
more specifically defining the origin of
human decisions and behaviors.
Have you responded in our class forum with your
personal account of how you recently handled a crisis?
Biological Perspective: Is
Nature v. Nurture still a valid
question?
We might also ask ourselves and examine
research that proposes that the Nature v.
Nurture can not be defined as a debate
because so many experts agree that
genetics and environment play equally
significant roles.
