4. INTRODUCTION
Shock is a life threatening medical condition where by
the body suffers from insufficient blood flow the
throughout the body (circulatory collapse) it is
characterized by inadequate tissue perfusion in which
there is insufficient delivery of oxygen and nutrients to
the body’s tissue and inadequate removal of waste
product from the tissues if untreated ,results in cell
death this can damage multiple organs.
Failure of the normal regulatory mechanisms in the body
can lead to rapid and profound shock .shock often
accompanies severe injury or illness
5. DEFINITION
According to javed ansari :- shock is a condition
in which the cardiovascular system fails to
perfuse tissue adequately
According to Nima schwartz’s :- Shock may be
defined as inadequate deliver of oxygen and
nutrients to maintain normal tissue and
cellular function
6. INCIDENCE
Most couses reported in western
countries still involve menstruating
women under age 30. TSS still occurs in
about 17 out of every 100,000
menstruating girls and women eases are

13. CARDIOGENIC SHOCK
1) Shock resulting from inadequate pumping action of the
heart because of cardiac muscles disfunction or mechanical
obstruction to the blood flow.
2) Cardiogenic shock is a state in which the heart is been
damage so much that it is unable to supply enough amount
of blood to the organs.
15. SEPTIC SHOCK
It is the most common shock that is caused by
pathogen in blood endotoxins (it is the type of
infection of blood) .

complement pathway which stimulate master cell
(histamine) another vasodilator .
In septic shock the blood flow is high due to this
heat production increased by the body so
distributive shock is also known as warm shock.

decreased cardiac output
Cells lack an adequate blood supply and are deprived
oxygen and nutrition
