The Powerlift Wall System is constructed with honeycombed core steel panels. Behind each individual panel there is encapsulated acoustic insulation. The double wall configuration creates an anechoic (or dead air space) chamber of approximately 8.5 inches. The wall is retracted and deployed using a double set of internal aluminum hinges called panographs.
The panograph assemblies are motor controlled and cable driven. Sound is controlled from one room to the next by the anechoic (dead air space) chamber plus the addition of double seals at the ceiling and at the floor.
Unlike accordion doors and operable partitions that have seals that are fixed and make contact with adjacent structures while the partition is moving in and out of place a powerlift wall has motorized seals that do not touch adjacent vertical surfaces until the wall is fully deployed. When in place the wall provide excellent acoustically separate due to is unique construction that provides a 10” thick wall with 4 layers of steel 2 layers of sound insulation and a large dead air space.
Because the powerlift partition retracts vertically, there are no tracks on the wall, floor or ceiling. Additionally, floor space is preserved because the wall stores neatly in the plenum.
