Explain the following experimental observations:
a) Two coordination compounds with the same empirical formula, Co(NH3)5(NO3)2SO4, are each added to water to make 0.1 M solutions. One solution remains neutral but the other becomes basic. Give the formula for each compound and name the type of isomerism represented by these two compounds.
b) The complex ion [PtCl2(NH3)2]2+ is square planar and has two different isomers. One of the compounds is polar and the other is nonpolar. Draw the compounds and determine which compound is polar.

b)[PtCl2(NH3)2]2+
When both the Cl\'s are opposite to each other or both NH3\'s are opositopto each other-non polar
Other wise when Cl is opposite to NH3 it is polar
