2. Monopoly by Definition
Monopoly is characterized by lack of competition
allowing that enterprise for business to have significant
power, that is, the power to charge high prices.
AT&T and Microsoft were monopoly’s at one point.
The Sherman Antitrust Act , passed in 1890, banned
trust and monopolistic combinations that hammered
interstate and international trade. This act acted like a
hammer for the government, giving it the power to
shatter big companies into smaller pieces.
After this is when games were made to act as monopoly.
3. In 1903 Elizabeth Philips
created a game called “The
Landlord’s Game”. This
game of buying and selling
land to get rich was
published in 1906. From
1906 until 1934 when
Monopoly was made by
Parker Brothers. Monopoly
was published in 1935 and
though advanced over the
years it still exist.

5. The newest version of
Monopoly called Electronic
Banking Monopoly was
released in the 21st Century.
This game has all the same
concepts of the original
version only instead of having
to deal with money bills you
collect and give money on
Monopoly Debit cards.

7. How is it Better?
With all the time saving you have by just swiping
your cards you are able to enjoy the name of the
game. The cards make you feel more empowered as
you start out with 15 million on each
card, Collecting two million as you pass go, and just
tossing around millions of dollars. If I had to buy a
monopoly game it would be Electronic Banking
Monopoly it is faster with more ways to play and
more ways to win. It is also much easier to set-up
and clean-up monopoly. No more having to organize
and count the paper money, now it is as simple as
clearing your card and going about your day.
8. Finally! Monopoly setup
and cleanup made simple!
While this might at first
appear like a gimmick,
Monopoly with electronic
banking makes, setup,
cleanup and playing so much
easier.
No money to count out.
Transactions are done
through the well thought out
banking calculator.
It's also a nice touch that the
money has been increased
to thousands and millions to
account for inflation.

I was so excited when I
first saw this toy
advertised! My husband
and I have a small
collection of Monopoly
games, so this seemed
like the perfect gift this
Christmas. We opened
before Christmas
though- we just couldn't
wait! I really liked that
the game was so much
less messy without all
the paper money.

We are all long time
Monopoly players and
had so much fun with
this modern version.
My only two
suggestions for playing
this game are to have
someone only be the
banker (because you
will be busy) and get
ready to have lots of
fun and laughs.
