The assigning of symbolic meanings to colors is probably as old as symbolism itself.
“In fact, words are well adapted for description and the arousing of emotion, but for many kinds of precise thought other symbols are much better”. (John B. S. Haldane)

Notes de l'éditeur

  • « I’m a minimalist at heart, aiming to express powerful and complex human feelings via a few elegant lines. I want viewers to feel my lines and see themselves in my artworks. »

Tatyana Markovtsev is a Russian painter who resides in the United States and has exhibited her works nationally as well as in Taiwan. An engineer by trade, she felt driven by the need, energy, and emotional flow of creating art, and has been a professional artist for over a decade. Markovtsev's minimalist compositions convey powerful and complex human emotions with as much simplicity and clarity as possible.
