AIM To bomb as many people as possible by simply sending an SMS to a shortcode. Each successful bombing (when a victim has received the SMSBomb) earns you points based on rules of the game. The player with the highest points stands to win an exciting prize at the end of a pre-defined period (1 week or month etc.). Typical game play To Bomb a friend, the user just needs to SMS - “ Bomb <victim number> <personal message>” to the shortcode. Technical details We are interested…but what does it take to deploy it? The service is a small footprint software which is platform independent requiring just a Java application server. The SMS received from the game must be directed to this server component via HTTP. The server component will then push an SMS (via HTTP) to the victim if required. A database is used to store data of all users. Flexible to use any RDBMS. Extensive logging is maintained to generate MIS reports and to troubleshoot. All keywords and point structures are easily configurable. The portal is also a Java application which must be hosted on a public domain. Extensive technical manuals are provided for installation and trouble shooting. Do we need to constantly maintain it?
