New Vocabulary
- Article (n)
Meaning: A piece of writing in a newspaper or magazine
Example: You should read the article in Watan Newspaper about Fashion in Kuwait.
- Boring (adj)
Meaning: Uninteresting (antonym: interesting).
Example: Today’s lesson was pretty boring that I almost fell asleep in class.
- Violent (adj)
Meaning: Using physical strength to hurt somebody (antonym: peaceful)
Example: She was violent with her baby sister that her baby sister broke her arm.
- Author (n)
Meaning: A person who writes a book, play, etc.
Example: Each book must have an author to show who wrote the book.
- Expensive (adj)
Meaning: Costing a lot of money (antonym: cheap)
Example: The latest Iphone Plus is very expensive and I can not afford it.
- Lie (v)
Meaning: To say something that you know it is not true (antonym: tell the truth)
Example: Never lie to your parents because they deserve to know the truth!
- Advantages (n)
Meaning: benefits, gains (antonym: disadvantages).
Example: There are many advantages of you learning English and that will be a
benefit for you in the future.
- Exchange (v)
Meaning: Receive something in return for something else.
Example: Can I exchange my old Iphone to the new Iphone please?
New Vocabulary
Fill in the blanks with the words in the box in order to complete the

*Use who and that to refer to people.

*Use relative pronouns to link pieces of information about a person or thing.
Example: Marie Curie was the scientist who discovered radium.
*The information after the relative pronoun often defines the subject.
Example: A search engine is a program that finds information.
A newsreader is a person who presents the news on the TV or radio.
*Do not repeat the subject after a relative pronoun. The pronoun is the subject.

New Vocabulary - Article (n) Meaning: A piece of writing in a newspaper or magazine Example: You should read the article in Watan Newspaper about Fashion in Kuwait. - Boring (adj) Meaning: Uninteresting (antonym: interesting). Example: Today’s lesson was pretty boring that I almost fell asleep in class. - Violent (adj) Meaning: Using physical strength to hurt somebody (antonym: peaceful) Example: She was violent with her baby sister that her baby sister broke her arm. - Author (n) Meaning: A person who writes a book, play, etc. Example: Each book must have an author to show who wrote the book.
  • 3. - Expensive (adj) Meaning: Costing a lot of money (antonym: cheap) Example: The latest Iphone Plus is very expensive and I can not afford it. - Lie (v) Meaning: To say something that you know it is not true (antonym: tell the truth) Example: Never lie to your parents because they deserve to know the truth! - Advantages (n) Meaning: benefits, gains (antonym: disadvantages). Example: There are many advantages of you learning English and that will be a benefit for you in the future. - Exchange (v) Meaning: Receive something in return for something else.
