2. Post critical reviews of the articles or
resources on the Wordpress site.
3. Engage classmates in lively discussion.
4. One group member should act as a scribe
and summarize the discussion, which
should then be posted on the Wordpress

Instructions:
1. Work in a group of 3-4.
2. You can work where you like
(outside of the room), just be
back by 12:00 pm.
3. Be prepared to share your
work with the class.

Goal: you and your group should
analyze the data available, decide
what else you need to know, and with
what you have, answer the following
questions:
● How well are we meeting the
information needs of these
students?
● How can we evaluate how well we
are meeting their needs?
● What should be our service action
plan?
Case Study Debrief
● What were the similarities
and differences between the
solutions each group came
up with?
● What was challenging about
this?
● Did any part of this work
challenge how you think
about library collections and
services?

  • 3. Review of Guidelines for Group-Led Discussions 1. In advance, share 2-3 provocative, timely, interesting articles/videos/etc. with the class. 2. Post critical reviews of the articles or resources on the Wordpress site. 3. Engage classmates in lively discussion. 4. One group member should act as a scribe and summarize the discussion, which should then be posted on the Wordpress site.

Case Study: Research Needs of 12th Grade History Students Question: how do you strive to meet the diverse information needs of high school students engaged in in-depth research when you are a small library with limited resources? Note: The documents to support this work are available on the CCLE for your reference.
  • 5. Case Study: Research Needs of 12th Grade History Students Instructions: 1. Work in a group of 3-4. 2. You can work where you like (outside of the room), just be back by 12:00 pm. 3. Be prepared to share your work with the class.

Case Study: Research Needs of 12th Grade History Students Goal: you and your group should analyze the data available, decide what else you need to know, and with what you have, answer the following questions: ● How well are we meeting the information needs of these students? ● How can we evaluate how well we are meeting their needs? ● What should be our service action plan?
  • 7. Case Study Debrief ● What were the similarities and differences between the solutions each group came up with? ● What was challenging about this? ● Did any part of this work challenge how you think about library collections and services?
