Examples of Standard 2 Statements

     These statements are ways to
   encapsulate the five specific review
 standards contained within Standard 2.
Review each of these statements. Think
about what method you would use to
creatively summarize the specific review
        standards of Standard 2.
Standard 2 as a Sentence

Quality is
measurable objectives (2.1)
and consistent module-level objectives (2.2),
that are written from the student perspective (2.3),
with instructions on how to meet them (2.4),
that are appropriate for the level of the course (2.5).

Submitted by Sasha Thackaberry, Cuyahoga Community College
Standard 2 as an Acronym

Standard 2 is calling the shots…
• Measurable course objectives, (2.1.)
• And measurable module objectives, (2.2)
• From student perspective, (2.3)
• Including directions on meeting them, (2.4)
• At the right level for the course, (2.5.)
Standard 2 Answers . . .

            All of your objective questions.
2.1) What will the student learn in the course?
2.2) What will the student learn in this module/unit of
  the course?
2.3) How is the student told?
2.4) How will the student know they have done
  everything to meet those objectives?
2.5) How complex will the objectives be?
What will YOUR statement be?
Now that you have seen these examples:
1) Create your own statement or acronym that
summarizes or restates all of the specific
   review standards within Standard 2.
2) Post your statement to the Discussion Forum.
3) Once you have posted your statement, you
will be able to see the statements of your
   fellow learners.
4) Comment on at least 2 other statements.
Close this pop-up window and
return to your Standard 2 Quality
  Matters workshop in Moodle.
