1. CRAFTING YOUR PERSONAL
MISSION STATEMENT
A ROAD MAP FOR LIFE
“If you don’t set your goals based upon your Mission
Statement, you may be climbing the ladder of success only
to realize, when you get to the top, you’re on the WRONG
BUILDING.” Stephen Covey, 7 Habits of Highly Effective
People.

2. A mission represents who you are. It is an affirmative statement
that expresses your purpose.
A vision represents what you dream about becoming or having in
your life. It is a future-oriented, compelling action statement that
expresses the ideal for what you want in all the areas of your life.
Your values define what you believe in and stand for – the ideals
for how you want to conduct yourself. Knowing the beliefs or
principles for guiding your life, you can tailor your behavior to
match what you value. www.janaebower.com
3. Focus on what you want for yourself and the person you want to be-not
what anyone else thinks you should be.
Use positive statements instead of negative
Take as long as you need. Think about what you’d like to say. Make
a first, second and even a third draft if you need to
A paragraph...or two is best. But that’s up to you. You can even
write it in the form of a poem or song.
Include it as part of your day to day life
Know that you can change it up at any time-it’s yours!
4. Figure out what’s important to you
Become better acquainted with yourself and the direction
you wish to go
Create a road map for your life
Fill in each question to the best of your ability…. And when
finished you will be able to convert those answers into a truly
personalized path …one that will give you direction and clarity.
Ready? Let’s go!

love, compassion, and wisdom. My mission is to help take away fear--the fear
of death, by proving that we don't die and will see our loved ones again, and

experience, I’m following the principals below:
I devote myself to providing simple solutions to complex problems, making things efficient, and finding
interesting conclusions. I enjoy solving challenge problems alone or together with others. I also enjoy the
inner satisfaction that comes with sharing my opinions or conclusions, and helping others succeed.
Be honest to myself. Truth is more important than pride. Learn from strengths in others. Be humble.
Keep my attitude of gratitude, positive thinking, and passion.
Taking adventures makes my life journey more interesting. I define new experiences and self
improvement as my adventures. New experiences expand my knowledge of reality. Self improvement
through learning and deep thinking, expands the inner side of myself and my personality.
People feel the need to be understood, just as, or even more strongly than the need to be loved. I want to
be understanding and trustable to my family and friends.
