Middle top ā Robi Renzi, Armadiature - Designer Robi Renzi of RenziVivian will present a series of cabinets assembled from a patchwork of salvaged wooden component. Called Armadiature, the pieces will be presented as part of an exhibition called Let It Shine at new exhibition space Skillart Middle bottom ā 100 Hammers initiative - 100 Hammers is a unique online initative by Project M (an intensive summer program designed to inspire young designers to incite change) that aims to extend the life of basic tools and encourage altruistic activities within the community. Inspired by the recent death of sculptor and collectorĀ David McLaughlin , a group of Project M participants set up the initiative to spread the Ā philosophy of reuse and creationĀ that was integral to McLaughlinās work. Through 100 Hammers, participants have one month to complete a project with one of the second-hand hammers, before it is shipped back to the 100 Hammers library to continue its life of benevolent creation. Designers taking part in the initiative are also asked to pass on theĀ proceeds of any sales they make to local art and design projects.
