17. FAQs #1
Can I use PowerTagging for my already exisiting spaces?
Yes, whole spaces can be semantically indexed with
PowerTagging in a batch mode
What if changes are made on the taxonomy side?
New labels or changes made on the labels can be synced
automatically with the tags used within Confluence
For which versions of Confluence does PowerTagging
work?
At the moment, it works for 5.0 – 5.1.5
Does PowerTagging index and annotate only the pages or
also the attachments?
Both is analyzed and annotated
18. FAQs #2
How does PowerTagging content recommendation work?
There are two macros which can be used to show similar
documents (to a given page) from any other space, or also
related content from Wikipedia. This automatic recommendation
is based on the ‘semantic footprint’ of a page which was
calculated in the background when adding a page.
Are there any limits regarding size?
PowerTagging can handle around 4 pages per second when
indexing whole spaces. No other limits are known.
Is there a free version of PowerTagging?
Yes, some pre-installed thesauri and extractors can be used for
the free version of PowerTagging. When a customized module for
text analysis is needed, then two versions can be obtained: cloud
service and on-premises variant.
Can I use different thesauri for different spaces?
Yes, for each space another thesaurus can be used for
PowerTagging of your Confluence content.
19. FAQs #3
Is PowerTagging using its own search engine?
No, PowerTagging is fully integrated with Confluence’s internal
(Lucene) search engine, whereas sOnr installs its own (Solr
based) search engine to provide advanced search facilities
like faceted search
What if changes are made on the taxonomy side?
New labels or changes made on the labels can be synced
automatically with the tags used within Confluence
For which versions of Confluence does PowerTagging
work?
At the moment, it works for 5.0 – 5.1.5
Does PowerTagging index and annotate only the pages or
also the attachments?
Both is analyzed and annotated
20. FAQs #4
Can I edit the tags which were created by PowerTagging?
Yes, the user can improve the automatically generated tags.
Therefore an auto-complete function is provided to use labels
rather from the controlled vocabulary than free tags.
Do I need sOnr to run PowerTagging?
No. PowerTagging can be operated independently from sOnr.
Already created taxonomies can be used by both add-ons.
Can I operate sOnr without PowerTagging?
No, sOnr is an optional additional module for PowerTagging
customers. It is installed together with PowerTagging.
Can PowerTagging handle multilinguality?
Yes, for each space another thesaurus and therefore another
language can be used.
