The top 10 Philippine universities also included University of Santo Tomas at 7th, St. Michael's College of Iligan City at 5th, Ateneo de Manila University at 3rd, and University of the Philippines Los Baños at 1st. The rankings aimed to motivate universities to have accurate web presences reflecting their activities.

 The Cybermetrics Lab, a research group that is based in
Spain, recently released the world ranking of universities
based on their Web presence.
 According to the group that is under the Spanish National
Research Council , the objective of the research is to
“motivate both institutions and scholars to have a Web
presence that reflect accurately their activities.”
 University of the Philipines Diliman ranked as 1356th
worldwide.
