Midday Meals for elders
The children are orphans, rescued street
children found by volunteers, or come from very
poor families or have single parents who cannot
give them proper education and food.
Our children call it their home. Indeed we work
hard to make it so. After they have lost so much,
they deserve all the security and love any normal
home provides orphanage has 2 desktop
computers and 1 laptop. The children are given
training in computer skills by a volunteer faculty
At SERUDS Happy Old Age Home, we celebrate all
major festivals and encourage our residents to
participate in activities like reading, regular walks,
singing bhajans, and more. We have adopted good
practices to provide a healthy, productive, and
participatory life to our elders.
Our Old Age Home is equipped with two bedrooms,
a big hall, a hygienic kitchen, and three toilets. We
also have open space for recreation and daily
prayers. Our residents receive nutritious meals
three times daily, along with clothes, blankets,
toiletries, and other personal necessities
The growing crisis of elders calls for urgent
intervention, but the government with its
limited resources, can make only meager
provisions. There is an urgent need for the
private sector and NGOs to help feed
destitute elders.
