standard.He was admitted byhis uncle at Joy home, SERUDS. Raju’s father
died some time back, and his mother has a heart problem and the money
earned was not sufficient for her medicines and Venkatesh’s education.So
with the help of Venkatesh’s uncle she admitted him at SERUDS so that he
can complete his education.Raju was not interested in his studies and used

Pranitha Bandi : Pranitha who is a resident of Kurnool is currently studying
5th class In Indra Gandhi Memorial MunicipalityHigh School.She was joined
at Joy Home SERUDS by her mother when she was 6 years old.Pranitha’s
mother Lakshmi devi works as a cook at a small hotel . Her father Nagaraju
works at a construction site as a dailylabourer.Her parents do not have
enough money to educate and support Pranitha and her brother Saketh
financially.So Pranitha’s mother joined her and her brother at SERUDS to
give them a good life and education.She likes to studywell and also likes to
playkabaddi,tennikoit
Gurram Vaishnavi: Gurram Vaishnavi ‘s father Thirumalesh works at a
construction site.Vyshanvi’s mother Adi Lakshmi is sick and is not able to
take care of her children . Her father often has to work on construction sites
which are in different states because of which he is not able to help and take
care of his children.Because of this he joined vyshanvi and her sister Revathi
at SERUDS so that she can grow up under the care of elders. She is really
good at studies and has scored highest marks because of which she attends
Keshava memorial English medium school.She participates in essaywriting
competitions frequently.She is fluent in English. She likes to play
badmintonand English.She aspires to become a doctor.As she saw her sick
mother she determined to become doctorone dayand cure others. She has
been with the SERUDS family for more than 7 years and is very happywith
the educationalfacilities,food,and other activities providedat Joy Home
Challa Hemalatha: Challa Hemalatha was admitted to Joy Home, SERUDS
by her aunt.Her father Venkateswarlu used to work as a farmer. Her father

3. used to drinka lot and beat her mother.Because of this behaviourwhich
disturbed Hemalatha mentally, her mother admitted her at SERUDS with
the help of Hemalatha’s aunt who is a volunteer at SERUDS. After an year of
Hemalatha’s joiningat SERUDS her father died because of which she went
back to her village and continued her studies.Her mother works at a farm to
earn a living.As theirfinancial situation was precarious,Hemalatha had to
come back to SERUDS after a year. She is reallygood at sports and studies.
She won several gold medals and shields in tennikoit.She wants to be a
Telugu teacher when she grows up as she enjoys teachingyounger kids here
at SERUDS duringtheirstudyhours
