Edmodo
Google Docs
Google Form
Lino
Ewalk Application
7. 21st Century Skills (review employability Skills)
• Group Collaboration
• Group Decision Making
• Use of Data and Action Research
Research Based Instructional Strategies
and Models

• Project Based Learning
• Inquiry Based Instruction
8. Professional Development Focus is on
teacher implementation of Student
Centered Classrooms.
• Developing a Conceptual Idea
• Create opportunities for students to negotiate
with each other
• More student talk time and less teacher talk time
• Major Project to support the curricular concept
9. Use of Google Form
Share results of session survey
Other example – Student
Reading Interest Survey
10. “Using the research foundation for the
strategies/model and past experience of
the trainer, determine how theory,
demonstrations, and opportunities for
teachers to practice in the workshop
setting will occur.”

Editor's Notes
Intro comments etc..
Prompt the participants to this task
Once Completed with reviewing the slides engage participants in a “negotiation of the main idea of this session” – Then debrief about the importance of understanding the learning objectives. This goes for both teachers and students. We always try to model in P.D. what we expect the teachers to do in the classroom.
SCC is our P.D. focus so we will plan our P.D. actions to model that of a student classroom. If we don’t want our teachers to lecture then we don’t want to lecture to them! SCC is a 21 st learning model and is very thick in the Iowa Core.
Sarah will talk about the google form and the use of our reading survey.
Explain that these are all “workshop” components
Explain that we have 3 concrete examples of that they can hopefully use back in their schools. Google Document – reply to prompt on the google doc. Jeff explain the task and Sarah explain the google document
Share that this is another way to analyze teacher implementation of the desired strategy or model of teaching. Use this data to plan further p.d. sessions.
Sarah will show edmdo and lino.
Watch – comment – watch comment
Use of Todays Meet to create a discussion about these two different styles of teaching.
