HISTORY OF UNITED ARAB EMIRATES In the 19th century, states along the Persian Gulf coastline agreed to the UK having power for their protection and affairs abroad. In 1971, six Arab states: Umm al-Quwain , Dubai , Sharjah , Ajman , Fujirah , and Abu Dhabi merged to form the United Arab Emirates . In 1972, the emirate of Ras Al-Khaimah joined the UAE. The republic is an alliance of these seven emirates, all of which are located in the Arabian cape. The republic has long shorelines and seaports in and out of the Straits of Hormuz where the entry to the Persian Bay is located. The UAE is about the same size as the American state of Maine. The official language of the UAE is Arabic, and the officially recognized religion is Islam. Islam was brought to the UAE by those sent by the Prophet Muhammad in the year 630. Within each emirate, a sheikh maintains control over natural resources, oil included, and also is in charge of regulating commerce with rules and policies. Because of the UAE's oil reserves being unequally distributed over the republic, oil revenues are also unevenly distributed, so the seven emirates vary in terms of economic development and prosperity. The biggest oil producer is Abu Dhabi , which is the most powerful and the wealthiest state. Next is Dubai , which is the UAE's business canter and second in terms of oil resources. [email_address]
HISTORY OF FRANCE F rance is an independent nation in Western Europe and the center of a large overseas administration. It is the third-largest European nation (after Russia and Ukraine). I n ancient times France was part of the Celtic territory known as Gaul or Gallia. Its present name is derived from the Latin Francia, meaning "country of the Franks," a Germanic people who conquered the area during the 5th century, at the time of the fall of the Western Roman Empire. It became a separate country in the 9th century. S ince the 17th century, France has played a major role in European and world events. In the 20th century, it has experienced numerous crises, including the devastation of two world wars, political and social upheavals, and the loss of a large empire in Indochina, Algeria, and West and Equatorial Africa. It has, however, survived and emerged from the ruins of World War II to become an important world supplier of agricultural and industrial products and a major partner in the EUROPEAN COMMUNITY (EC, or Common Market). T oday, the term metropolitan France refers to the mainland departments and CORSICA, a large island located in the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Italy that has been a part of France since 1768. France has six overseas departments: FRENCH GUIANA in South America; GUADELOUPE and MARTINIQUE in the West Indies; MAYOTTE, an island formerly part of the Comoros, located in the Indian Ocean; REUNION, an island in the Indian Ocean; and SAINT PIERRE AND MIQUELON, islands off the east coast of Canada. In addition, France has numerous small possessions called overseas territories. These include a group of widely scattered islands in the South Pacific, which are administered from Tahiti and are known collectively as FRENCH POLYNESIA; FRENCH SOUTHERN AND ANTARCTIC TERRITORIES; NEW CALEDONIA and WALLIS AND FUTUNA ISLANDS; and many small islands in the southern oceans, including the Kerguelen and Crozet archipelagos and the islands of St. Paul and Amsterdam (Indian Ocean). The overseas departments and territories are represented in the French National Assembly. [email_address]

Abu Dhabi is not a tourist destination, but there is whole lot more to see and do here than shopping or business meetings. More good news is that many of Abu Dhabi's quality attractions free. Travellers should take note that getting around the city by foot is not much of an option due to the extreme heat and the best time of year for sightseeing in Abu Dhabi is between October and May. Famed for its amazing shopping opportunities, many visitors might choose to scrap any sightseeing and spend their time wandering the seemingly endless amounts of shopping malls and districts, but for those who don't a good place to start is Corniche, Abu Dhabi's spectacular waterfront which stretches for miles. Stroll along the walkway, stop on of the sandy beaches or take the kids to the playgrounds or go-karting track. The Sheikh Zayed Mosque is the largest mosque in the United Arab Emirates and is an interesting cultural attraction for westerners to visit. Khalifa Park is a must for travellers, especially those with kids in tow, as it features an aquarium, museum, play parks, a train and even formal gardens to enjoy some time out under the shade of a tree. Most of Abu Dhabi's hotels have their own beaches and swimming or simply lazing in the sun is a popular pastime for travellers to Abu Dhabi - but don't forget the sunscreen! [email_address]
The majestic Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Mosque is probably the most imposing religious and national landmark in Abu Dhabi to date. It is also arguably one of the most important architectural treasures of contemporary UAE society - and one of the most beautiful in the world - initiated no less by the late president HH Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who is fondly thought of as the father of the UAE. The oldest building in young Abu Dhabi is the Al Hosn Palace, known colloquially as the White Fort. It was constructed in 1793 as the official residence of the former ruling family, and was extensively renovated in 1983. Today it houses the Cultural Foundation, featuring a museum of traditional artefacts and historical photographs. The Palace is renowned for the magnificent tile work over its main gate. [email_address]
Designed as a living museum depicting traditional Bedouin life, the Heritage Village over the Abu Dhabi Corniche features tents, courtyard houses, an ancient irrigation system, workshops where craftsmen ply their trades, a museum and much more. [email_address]
The basis of Abu Dhabi's wealth, the oil industry, is showcased in this permanent exhibition of photographs and interactive displays depicting the discovery of the 'black gold' and subsequent development of the region. The Petroleum Exhibition is an interesting museum and shows how the city of Abu Dhabi progressed after the discovery of oil, which is directly responsible for the city's considerable wealth. You can see a timeline, with the major changes of the city's skyline and host of modern attractions that have been built. From pearls to oil, Abu Dhabi is now one of the world's largest oil producing regions. Abu Dhabi museum open: Saturday to Wednesday - 07:00 to 14:00 Abu Dhabi museum admission: charge, discount for children [email_address]

Paris, France is one of the most fascinating and romantic cities in Europe, and tourists visiting this wonderful city will find that things to see and do are almost limitless. Known as the 'City of Light', the beauty of Paris is overwhelming and its architectural and artistic heritage combine with undeniable appeal and world-class tourism to make any visit an unforgettable experience. Eiffel Tower (Tour Eiffel) is the symbol of Paris , one of the most visited tourist attractions and the best known tower in the world. The Eiffel Tower is 300 meters (984 ft) tall and was designed by Gustave Eiffel for the Universal Exibition of 1889 and stirred great controversy among the Paris citizens. After its opening the intellectuals of Paris gathered to protest against the grotesque Eiffel Tower. The Eiffel Tower was the tallest building in the world until 1931 when the Empire State building in New York was built. Gustave Eiffel also constructed the framework of the Statue of Liberty in New York City. The Eiffel Tower is made of iron and has three observation levels, all accessible by elevators. The first level is at 57 meters (187 ft) and has a post office. The second level features a restaurant and is at 115 meters (376 ft) and the third level is at 276 meters (905 ft) and has observation deck that can hold 800 people. During the summer it gets very crowded and the wait can be as much as an hour per level. One curious fact – every seven years the Eiffel Tower is painted using 60 tons of paint. It was commissioned by Napoleon after his victory at the Battle of Austerlitz and was finished in 1836 The Arc de Triomphe was dedicated to the French army and is the home to the Unknown Soldier’s grave since 1920. The Triumphal arch is one of the most famous arches in the world. It was designed by Jean Chalgrin and it resembles the Arch of Titus in Rome . The Triumphal arch is a monumental building 50 meter high (164 ft). The Arc de Triomphe is adorned with many reliefs and friezes depicting scenes of Napoleon’s victories and just below the roof thirty shields bear the names of his many victorious battles. The Triumphal arch is at the center of Charles de Gaulle square ( Place Charles de Gaulle ) and is a starting point of 12 avenues one of them the famous Champs-Elysées . On the roof of the Arc de Triomphe is an observation deck offering incredible view of Paris and Champs-Elysées. [email_address]
Luxembourg Gardens (Jardin du Luxembourg) like Jardin des Tuileries is one of the many parks in Paris but Jardin du Luxembourg is maybe the most popular of them all. The park is located on the Left Bank of the river Seine right next to Palais du Luxembourg . The gardens were a private park till the 19th century when were opened to the public. Luxembourg Gardens feature octagonal basin, café, tennis court, puppet theatre and is full of people playing the boules , a typical French game where you are tossing balls on a lawn. The park features many statues, and fountains, one of them Fontaine de l'Observatoire . The fountain’s sculpture was designed by Jean Baptiste Carpeaux in 1873 and represents the globe supported by the four continents portrayed by four women. [email_address]
Place de la Concorde - Place de la Concorde Place de la Concorde is the largest and most historic square in Paris , located at the end of the Champs-Élysées in the Tuileries Quarter. The square was created by the architect Jacques-Ange Gabriel in 1772. During the French revolution a guillotine was installed at the center of Place de la Concorde. One of the most famous people beheaded here in 1793 was Marie Antoinette. King Louis XVI lost his head here too as well as 1120 more people. In the 19th century a giant 3,200 year old Egyptian obelisk brought here from Luxor, was installed at the center of Place de la Concorde. A couple of years later 2 fountains were installed both designed by Jacob Ignaz Hittorf. He also designed the eight statues which represent the seven cities of France – Strasbourg, Lyon, Marseille, Bordeaux, Nantes, Brest, Rouen and Lille. [email_address]
Moulin Rouge (Red Windmill) located in Montmartre is the best known music and dancing hall in all of Paris and has earned a worldwide reputation. Moulin Rouge was built in 1885 as a traditional cabaret and quickly became known with its colorful dance shows. Toulouse-Lautrec (the famous French artist) immortalized the Cancan dancers in his posters. Some of the famous performers at Moulin Rouge include Yvette Guilbert, Jane Avril, Josephine Baker, Frank Sinatra and Édith Piaf. [email_address]
Pont Neuf spans over the River Seine and connects Paris with Île de la Cité . Pont Neuf is the oldest bridge in Paris ironically called (New Bridge). It was built by Henry III in 1578 and was completed by Henry IV in 1607 . At the center of the bridge on the square Vert-Galant, a bronze statue of King Henry IV was erected after his death. Pont Neuf has 12 arches and spans 275 meters (912 ft). It is the first stone bridge built without houses on it and became a meeting place for the people of Paris as well as one of the most popular bridges in Paris. In 1985 the Bulgarian born artist Christo wrapped Pont Neuf in fabric. Nearly 41,000 square meters of fabric had been used in this massive project and the river traffic was not obstructed at all. Day 4(13/10/10): DISNEYLAND PARIS - DISNEY STUDIO Today after breakfast we take you to two greatest amusement Parks of Paris, DISNEY STUDIO AND DISNEYLAND PARIS. We recommend that you first visit Disney Studio and then go to Disneyland. We will give you the tickets which will cover both the parks and will also allow you to enjoy any shows and rides with this ticket. Why we are recommending Disney Studio first is that Disney Studio closes early and Disneyland closes late and again at Disneyland in the late evening on many days they have spectacular fire works and parades which you will be able to enjoy it. We have not included lunch today. For your information there are great number of good restaurants and also fast food outlets at Disneyland so it will give you a flexibility and opportunity to try the different food at any of the outlets. Your tour guide will explain you how to move around in the park but then let you be independent which will allow you to choose which ride or which show you want to go for. Evening enjoy delicious dinner prepared by our own chefs. And then return back to your hotel for overnight stay. Breakfast, Dinner [email_address]

The Montreal Convention , formally the Convention for the Unification of Certain Rules for International Carriage , is a treaty adopted by a Diplomatic meeting of ICAO member states in 1999. It amended important provisions of the Warsaw Convention's regime concerning compensation for the victims of air disasters. The Convention re-establishes urgently needed uniformity and predictability of rules relating to the international carriage of passengers, baggage and cargo. Whilst maintaining the core provisions which have successfully served the international air transport community for several decades (i.e. the Warsaw regime), the new convention achieves the required modernisation in a number of key areas. It protects passengers by introducing a two-tier liability system and by facilitating the swift recovery of proven damages without the need for lengthy litigation. [email_address]

Stroll along the walkway, stop on of the sandy beaches or take the kids to the playgrounds or go-karting track.
