3. A Parallelogram is a flat shape with
opposite sides parallel and equal in length.

(angles "a" are the same, and

Angles "a" and "b" add up to
180°, so they are supplementary

We can always put any triangle together with
a copy of itself to make a parallelogram.
AREA of any triangle=

Therefore
AREA OF PARALLELOGRAM =
1/2bh+1/2bh=bh

The Area is the base
times the height:
Area = b × h
(h is at right angles
to b)
