SITUATION#8




Group performance and interpersonal relations are good. You feel
somewhat unsure about your lack of direction of the group.
Identify Problem:
The supervisor is uncertain of the direction that group is perusing in order to accomplish
targets and goals. The group will not be able to understand where they are heading.
Generating alternatives solution:
    Leave the group alone.
    Discuss the situation with the group and then initiate necessary changes.
    Take steps to direct your subordinates toward working in a well-defined
     manner.
    Be careful of hurting boss-subordinate relations by being too directive
Evaluating Alternatives:
       Leave the group alone
The group may spot its direction itself, however, if continued to leave the group alone, it
would turn out to be fatal subsequently. As a result many conflicts and disciplinary issues
will also rise. The group needs redirecting by the supervisor, therefore the alternative is
not going to work for now.
            Discuss the situation with the group and then
             initiate necessary changes.
The alternative is very resourceful and may turn out to be very handy in ameliorating the
adverse situation of the group. The group will ultimately realize its current position so
will the supervisors.
            Take steps to direct your subordinates toward
             working in a well-defined manner
The supervisor may use the alternative that could possibly yield best stimulation by the
group; the supervisor shall give fair consideration to take appropriate action on new
requirements and suggestions. This may turn out to be an efficacious and attractive
alternative in the end. He must make certain that the group is well directed and guidelines
are available necessary to follow.
            Be careful of hurting boss-subordinate relations by being
             too directive
The alternative warns against being too authoritarian on the subordinates, the supervisor
may bring about some conflict a chaos among the subordinate. He has to harmonize the
group members.
******MAKING A CHOICE *******
   Take steps to direct your subordinates toward working in
    a well-defined manner.
The choice is absolutely worthy of being utilized to sort out the misdirected approach of
subordinates. Once the guidelines are understood, the group will peruse in systematic
way to achieve them.
IMPLEMENTING THE DECISION:
The supervisor ought to lead the group and direct them to work in professional
comportment. A vigorous and spirited push to stick to guidelines is necessary. Tey must
coordinate and cooperate to work in harmony.
EVALUATING THE DECISIONS:
The Vigilance to watch at the track and group direction is priority of the supervisor so as
to evaluate the implemented decision.

  • 1. SITUATION#8 Group performance and interpersonal relations are good. You feel somewhat unsure about your lack of direction of the group. Identify Problem: The supervisor is uncertain of the direction that group is perusing in order to accomplish targets and goals. The group will not be able to understand where they are heading. Generating alternatives solution:  Leave the group alone.  Discuss the situation with the group and then initiate necessary changes.  Take steps to direct your subordinates toward working in a well-defined manner.  Be careful of hurting boss-subordinate relations by being too directive Evaluating Alternatives:  Leave the group alone The group may spot its direction itself, however, if continued to leave the group alone, it would turn out to be fatal subsequently. As a result many conflicts and disciplinary issues will also rise. The group needs redirecting by the supervisor, therefore the alternative is not going to work for now.  Discuss the situation with the group and then initiate necessary changes. The alternative is very resourceful and may turn out to be very handy in ameliorating the adverse situation of the group. The group will ultimately realize its current position so will the supervisors.  Take steps to direct your subordinates toward working in a well-defined manner The supervisor may use the alternative that could possibly yield best stimulation by the group; the supervisor shall give fair consideration to take appropriate action on new requirements and suggestions.
