Section 72 of the IT Act provides for
penalty for breach of confidentiality and
privacy.

conferred under the IT Act Rules or
Regulations made there under, has
secured access to any material without

discloses such material to any other
person, shall be punishable with
imprisonment for a term which may
extend to two years, or with fine which
may extend to Rs 1,00,000 or with both.
