France is in Western Europe.
The borders of France are:
 West: Spain and Andorra.
 East: Germany, Luxenbourg and Switzerland.
 North: West: Belgium.
 South: Monaco Italy and Mediterranean Sea.

France has been inhabited
since the Paleolithic.
French Revolution
In France there was a
revolution against the
monarchy and it became a
republic.

25% of France is forest.
50% of France is countryside or
farmland.
Parklands have been set In 20% of
France.
Most of the animals in France are
ibex, foxes and deer.
Most of the vegetation in France
are chestnut, pine and spruce trees.

6. Government and Economy
• The president of France is Nicolas Sarkozy.
• The prime minister is François Fillon.
There have been many political crises in France.
The monetary unit is the Euro.

7. People and culture
• Languages: French, Breton, Alsatian, Basque,
Corsican…
1% of France are illiterate.
• Ethnic groups: Slavic, Basque, Celtic, Latin, North
African and Southeast Asian
• Religions: Roman Catholic, Jewish and Islam.
• On July 14th French national day is celebrated in
France.
