28. RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
Top Politicians were taken on the basis of Facebook fans w.r.t.
the country’s population. Top politicians from all countries are
taken.
The ranking is done using 3 parameters:
1. No. of Facebook Fans : Ranked 20 to 1
Pages were chosen on the basis of availability on 25th of
November, 2013. Some prominent pages (like the one for
Former Pakistan President Musharraf) were not available and
are left out of the research.
Facebook Fans were taken from Facebook Ad Manager.
Population data taken from Wikipedia.
The research is based on Simplify360 Research. The added
profiles are on the basis of availability and some may have
been left. We have, however, tried to make it neutral and fair
for all nations or political parties, and chosen on the basis of
prominence alone. No sampling done on the basis of political
alliance.

4. Score : Sum of 1, 2 and 3.
Note: In case the verified Facebook page is not found for a
leader, the page dedicated to the leader with highest number
