Differentiation with technology
Differentiated instruction is an approach to teaching that aims to meet individual student needs. The AAA Foundation conducted two surveys in 2008 to study cell phone use while driving and attitudes about the issue. The surveys found that over half of drivers use cell phones while driving occasionally, with 16-17% doing so regularly. Younger drivers aged 25-34 had the highest rates of use. Around 14-17% admitted to occasionally reading or sending text messages while driving as well. However, most drivers believe that using hands-free phones is safer despite studies showing otherwise. The surveys show many drivers engage in risky cell phone use while acknowledging it is a serious problem.
