Three provinces in particular have seen large increases - in Kilis, refugees now make up 59% of the population, 10.5% in Gaziantep, and nearly 10% in Sanliurfa. The refugee influx is altering the ethnic and sectarian balances of these provinces and placing economic pressures, though Turkey has managed the crisis relatively well so far compared to neighboring countries.
