- 14. So, what’s the idea? Doctors select patients at the appropriate stage of change (motivated), and who are comfortable with the technology.
- 15. Lessons Learned Design with 2 target populations in mind. Do not expect doctors to beta test your intervention with their patients! People who pay for your intervention 1) may interact with it more frequently than those who don’t and 2) are more likely to complain loudly & quickly!

- Thank you for the introduction. It is a real pleasure to be here at this conference and learning from the folks on the technology and design side of mobile interventions and on the healthcare technology side. My expertise is actually in the treatment of obesity. I have been in the obesity treatment field for 20 years, both the applied realm and the clinical realm. Also, I have a background in psychology and currently, I’m doing a PhD in Media Psychology, so I study how people interact with various forms of media to improve their health.
