Culinary Scholarship for Military
1. The International Culinary Center’s
$5 Million Military Scholarship Program
“Discipline, respect, organization and the ability to master skills are key in the
kitchen. If you are a good soldier, you can be a good professional cook…I can’t
imagine a career that is better suited for veterans.” -- Benjamin Lubin, Marines
Veteran and ICC Graduate
The International Culinary Center, one of the world’s premier professional cooking schools,
offers military scholarships for up to $7,500 to veterans with an honorable discharge who
are interested in pursuing a career in culinary arts. In as little as six months, ICC’s
intensive, hands-on programs provide students with real-world skills to maximize their
career-readiness for any field in the culinary industry. Founded as The French Culinary
Institute nearly 30 years ago, ICC's track record of excellence includes an impressive roster
of alumni including chefs Bobby Flay, Daisy Martinez and David Chang.
Designed as a fast-track to employment, ICC's full-time and part-time programs
offer rolling start dates and student housing. The Career Services program lists thousands
of jobs for alumni and students every year, and provides one-on-one services long after
graduation. Erik Murnighan, ICC’s Vice President, states, “I cannot stress the individual
attention strongly enough…students and alumni have the benefit of discussing opportunities
with a Career Services team that understands the industry inside and out.”
The ICC Advantage:
Qualifying veterans, children and spouses can receive as much as $11,200 in aid
which, along with the Post 9/11 GI Bill, results in up to 80% tuition reduction
Programs culminate in diploma or certificate credentials recognized industry-wide
