HALF-DAY POST-CONFERENCE WORKSHOP
Wednesday 19th November 2014
Marriott Regents Park Hotel, London
08.30 - 12.30
UAS in Transition: from War to
Peace, from Military to Commercial
Workshop overview:
The UAS industry is already transitioning from the needs
of a wartime military to peacetime employment. Even
more dramatic is the transition from military
employment to the use of UAS by civil authorities and
the business world. This workshop will explore these
inevitable changes and how they will affect both civil
and military users.
Who should attend?
Both military and industry representatives will gain
insight into where UAS focus will be for the next few
years and they will benefit from having this knowledge
to adjust future UAS development to meet their own
needs and requirements.
Why should you attend?
This workshop will be conducted as an interactive
seminar. Discussion is encouraged and welcomed.
Everyone who attends will have a voice in the
discussions and an opportunity to ascertain the future
direction of UAS as one of a group of UAS subject
matter experts.
Agenda
08.30 Registration and coffee
09.00 Session 1
Implications on UAS procurement and
operations as militaries transition from
wartime to peacetime operations.
09.30 Session 2
Implications for UAS development as non-
military and business use of UAS grows at an
exponential pace.
10.00 Coffee break
10.30 Session 3
Emerging technologies that will influence UAS
development for military, non-military, and
business procurement and employment.
11.00 Session 4
Automation and autonomy: what do they
really mean and what are the implications
for future employment?
12.30 End of workshop
