34. The Environmental component in the expression
of a gene is called REACTION RULE. This, can
vary a lot depending of the Traits. Thus in the
expression of the Weight of an individual the
Reaction rule is, or can be, very big but, for
example, respect the ABO blood group system the
Reaction rule is nonexistent.
All of us
belong to A
blood group.
40. The most common or normal phenotype in a population. In
the same way we also speak of wild type allele. In both
cases it should be noted that the concept is relative
because the silvester or predominant phenotype in one
population can be rare in another.
For example, in the Nordic Countries the
silvester type human being white skinned,
blond haired and blue eyed. While in Equatorial
Guinea this phenotype would be inexistent or
extremely rare.
41. white skinned, blond
haired and blue eyed.
white skinned, black or
brown haired and dark
eyed.
black skinned, black
and very curly haired
and dark eyed.

47. That Allele which manifests its phenotype in
Heterozygosis. For example in peas we will consider the
colour of the seed trait. The Allele determines the
yellow colour of the seed and the allele determines
the green colour of the seed.
The individuals will show seeds of yellow colour and those which are
genotype will have green colour in the seeds. Finally, the individuals
which are Heterozygotics have yellow seeds which permit us to say that
Allele is dominant respect .
48. The individuals will show seeds of yellow colour
and those which are genotype will have green
colour in the seeds. Finally, the individuals which are
Heterozygotics have yellow seeds which permit us
to say that Allele is dominant respect .
The Allele that is silenced ( it is not expressed) in
Heterozygosis get the name of Recessive Allele.
In this example the allele is Recessive respect
53. Codominance appears when the hybrids show the two phenotypes
of the Homozygotic. For example, we will consider the colour of
the flowers of Mirabilis jalappa a plant called “ Four o’clock” in
English and “Don Diego de Noche” in Spanish.
54. This plant is native of Mexico and was
brought to Spain by the Conquerors.
Its name refers to the flowers in the form of
a bell-shape tube perfumed and showy. They
open at night because they are pollinated by
moths of the family Sphingidae that have a
very long proboscis.
