10. It is a good idea to give the parents an overview of what the curriculum contains for the year. A syllabus can be given out to the parents on this night as well.
11. Technology should be incorporated into the teacher’s presentation to the parents. It is always good for the parents to see how their children will be learning. Tutoring can be discussed. Let the parents know when you are available to tutor.
12. It is a good idea to give parents a brief overview of your history. Tell them about where you went to school and in what area(s) you are certified. Avoid telling them it is your first year!

38. Math Ad Cont… In groups the students will brainstorm and create an ad about math. They will decide on a particular concept to focus on in math. They will decide what will grab the public’s attention. What kind of ad, poster, or presentation will be unforgettable? They will incorporate appealing words and pictures into their ad.
39. Scoring the Math Ad Students will be scored on: Creativity Originality Overall Appeal Does it really advertise math? Neatness Intriguing Shows effort and is well timed (not rushed)
