Dear Sir,
I have been working for Cham Bank (Islamic Bank) since 2006, currently my position is
Risk Manager, Secretary of Risk Committee – Board of Directors, and Secretary of Governance
Committee – Board of Directors.
I was a member of internal credit committee as a decision maker, and worked as head of
corporate finance. Also I worked as a head of financial accounting in financial control
department for Cham Bank.
(Cham Bank is the first Islamic bank in Syria and a private bank in the charter of a Syrian Joint Stock Company
established on September 2006. The main establishers are Commercial bank of Kuwait – Kuwaiti, and Islamic
Development Bank - International.)
I finished courses of the PhD program majoring in Financial Management with a
cumulative average of 84.6%, and I pass the PhD comprehensive exam in Arab Academy for
Banking and Financial Sciences (AABFS) which I got the Master Degree from majoring in
Corporate Finance with excellent estimation average of 86%, the Thesis' title is "The
Distribution Effects of Market Risks Over Firms Stock Prices".
(AABFS is one of the Organizations for Joint Arab Action, and not-for-profit institution, owned by the League of
Arab States and founded in 1988 and is Jordan-based. It enjoys full diplomatic status, financial, and
administrative independence. AABFS is considered to be the only Arab academic institution that provides an
integral spectrum of activities in education, training, research and publication, consultancy, and global certification.

- Activation the risk department’s divisions (Credit Risk – Market Risk – Operating
Risk) including all their task.
- Planning, designing and implementing an overall risk management process for the
bank.
- Risk assessment, which involves analyzing risks as well as identifying, describing and
estimating the risks effects over the bank’s business by comparing estimated risks
with criteria established by the bank.
- Preparing Early Warning Indicators.
- Adopting system reports shows related risks exposures.
- Quantify Risk exposure and the costs and benefits of managing risks.
- Establishing and quantifying the bank's risk appetite.
- Carrying out processes such as purchasing insurance policies.
