2. Introduction to
Gaming Industry:
This is a story when most of this generation was not
born. In the society of peace and harmony and lots of
physical activity computer industry took a huge turn in
the year 1972 by introducing first ever Arcade Game
by the name of “Pong”.
The game was originally developed by Allan Alcorn
and released in 1972 by Atari corporations. Soon, Pong
became a huge success, and became the first
commercially successful game, on 1975, Atari release a
home edition of Pong (the first version was played on
Arcade machines) which sold 150,000 units. Today, the
Pong Game is considered to be the game which
started the video games industry, as it proved that the
video games market can produce significant
revenues.
Since that day onwards Gaming Industry is on its rise.
From arcade games to “game’n watch” to Attari, Video
Games then PC games, Xbox, Mobile Games to now
VR (Virtual Reality) Cloud Based games this industry is
on the rise day by day.
Computer Games or PC Games did not only entertain
young audiences but now it is a favorite pass time for
all ages.
It’s easy to underestimate just how
massively lucrative the video game
industry is today.
A recent New York Times report
stated that it was worth
“nearly $200 billion in 2021 —
more than music, U.S. book
publishing and North American
sports combined.”

had been experiencing
consistent growth for several
years, driven by the increasing
popularity of video games
across various platforms.
