HTML5 accessibility is important because it allows people with disabilities to access web content. Key areas of HTML5 that need accessibility include semantic elements, forms, audio/video, drag and drop. However, browser and assistive technology support for accessible HTML5 is still limited. ARIA roles can help make HTML5 more accessible and is being integrated, but full support is still in development.
