2. Universal Design
Universal design is a method that can be
applied when making a lesson plan or anything
that can be used by people.
Universal Design is to have something to be
useable by every person without modification.
3. Finding the Issue
The issue with most of the educational system
is that it is geared towards the average student.
4. Get to Know the Students
Understanding your students can go a long way
in setting up lessons and materials that
incorporate universal design.
5. Thinking Ahead
When you think ahead, think about all the
students or people that will be using your
product, you can install the modifications first,
making it usable to all.
6. Creating Universal Design
After thinking about your students, put what you know
about them into the the material.
For instance,
If a student is deaf, then use captions for him to read.
If a student speaks a different language, make the material
able to use that language as well.
7. Goal: To Make Learning
Universal
The goal of Universal Design is to create a
lesson or product that everyone can use without
modifications.
