students to identify what they believe to
be the best possible behaviours, City of

“The way in which one acts or conducts
oneself, especially towards others.”
The College Behaviours are a set of
behaviours that everyone in the
college should strive to follow.

City of Glasgow College has developed
behaviours directly linked to the values of
consulted staff and students which help
achieve a single, one-team culture.

5. Why do we have our own set?
One set of principles to follow brings with it
many benefits to the staff and students…
• It encourages everyone
to achieve their full
potential
• It outlines how we should
treat others and how we
should expect to be
treated
• It promotes equality,
fairness and the
breaking down of
barriers
• It allows a safer and
more supportive work
environment
6. What are the Behaviours?
Inspired
Excellence
Fair
Respect
Team work
Innovation
The Behaviours directly link in with
these College Values!

8. Behaviours and You!
Everyone at City is responsible for their
behaviour and are expected to adopt the
College’s values and related behaviours. It’s
important these are embedded into the daily
working lives of staff and students whilst they
work together to support the students on their
learner journey.
Take some time to think about how you
can adopt more of the College Behaviours
in your own studies.
