6. Introduction for My Portfolio
Introduction to Myself
This is Sumaiya Ismail. I am currently studying in Computer Science & Engineering at International
Univeristy of Business, Agriculture & Technology. I live in Uttara, Dhaka. I have grown a passion for
teaching profession. I like to gain knowledge and give knowledge to others. The teaching style of some
of my lectures attracts me a lot. So I prefer to be a teacher in future. I have a skill of leadership that
allows me to guide people to good path. There are some more careers that I am interested for. These
are website designing, online business. After my B.Sc I want to do my M.Sc in IT sector. There are
many factors which influenced me for these career choice. A teacher is the influence a teacher can
have on children in general and those who will become tomorrow's leaders.
Career Goals
My career as a student is to make connections, learn about ourselves, exploring options and last but not
the least looking for opportunities. Although I haven't formally studied it during my school or
university years, I still find the human brain and behaviour interesting. I love finding links between a
person’s mind/thinking and the way they behave as a consequence. It helps me understand some
people that I may not like.
Contributions & Activities
There are many contribution from my school life to university life. Once I went to a study tour of my
school in grade III. The school took us to an ice cream factory. There we saw the making of ice cream
and also learn how an industry works with many people. In my high school I participated in science
fairs. I made a volcano to showcase on the science fair. In my university life I worked as a volunteer of
my dept. This helped me a lot to change my skills and I have become more experienced in handling
over people. I also have an experience of managing online page of cosmetics. This help me a lot in
developing my communication skill. I love to reads books. My works and contribution helped me a lot
to develop my skills. In the past I wasn’t able to talk or communicate with people with confidence. But
now I can communicate and handle any sort of people.

My name is Sumaiya Ismail. I live in Uttara. I completed my SSC from Badda Alatunnessa Higher Secondary
School. I completed my HSC from BAF Shaheen College Kurmitola. Currently I am studying in
International University of Businesss Agriculture & Technilogy. I live with my parents. My Father is a
businessman and mother is a housewife. I have 3 siblings. Among them I am second. I like to read
books. The first book I read was “Rasha”written by Zafar Iqbal. Since then I always read books of
several writers. I love crafting. I decorated my house and my room by making many paper crafts. I
worked as an online lifestyle reporter of Dailyprojomno news portal. At present, I am working with an
online page named “Bohubrihi”. I manage all clients and parcels there. This work has boost up my
confidence very much and now I am able to communicate with any people around me
When I was in school I used to take my in many cultural activities. I danced for shows, took part in
science fair, took part in debate clubs. I obtained GPA 4.88 at my SSC. The reason of low
grade was my school. As my school was not that much strict about studies and a there were too
many students in ine class. It was hard for teachers to keep track for every student. I obtained
GPA 5.00 at my HSC. Then I admitted myself to IUBAT in the department of CSE. I have a
fascination for computer since childhood. So this subject attracted me very much. I have an
excellent skill of making reports, presentation files. I am also working as a volunteer of my
university. This opportunity has increased my skills a lot. I worked for decorations purpose of
many events like Robotics contest, Inter Collegiate Programming Contest.
I got admitted in Computer Science and Engineering in 2015. I had extreme interest for computer.
Moreover when I operated mobile phones I researched the new application and making of it.
Now I feel teaching students about it. I got to know about HTML, CSS and start practicing
about it. Now I can also develop some simple websites as well. I would like to be a teacher of
CSE where I can cover the digital aspects of electronics engineering, specializing in hardware-
systems areas like computer architecture, processor design, high-performance computing, parallel
processing, computer networks and embedded systems.
After graduation I intend to serve nation being a teacher. I love my subject and what to give clear concept of it
to the juniors of mine. Computer Science and Engineering intended to develop a solid understanding of
the entire machine (computer hardware and software). At first I want to do my M.Sc in renowned
university. Then I would like a job of being lecturer. I can deliver speech very well and guide students
to their best. I can also prepare the children for the challenging state tests and foster their leadership
and problem-solving skills by having them collaborate in groups.
I love to work with dedication. Whatever the work is, I take it responsibly and always finish the work in time.
This habit of mine has given me tremendous confidence to do any kind of work.
