3. INTRODUCTION
 Due to student’s interest in classrooms, and whose is the largest union in the study
environment of university or institution, so recording absence at a department having a
large number of students in a classroom is a difficult task and time-consuming.
Moreover, the process takes much time, and many efforts are spent by the staff of the
department to complete the attendance rates for each student. So in many institutions
and academic organizations, attendance is a very important criterion which is used for
various purposes. These purposes include record keeping, assessment of students, and
promotion of optimal and consistent attendance in class. As long as in many
developing countries, a minimum percentage of class attendance is required in most
institutions and this policy has not been adhered to, because of the various challenges
the present method of taking attendance presents. The process of recording attendances
for students was in the form of hardcopy papers and the system was manually done.
Besides wasting time and taking efforts for preparing sheets and documents, other
disadvantages may be visible to the traditional one due to loss or damage to the sheets-
sheet could be stolen.

4. INTRODUCTION
 Attendance management is important to every single organization; it can decide whether or not an
organization such as our educational institutions, public or private sectors will be successful in the
future. Organizations will have to keep a track of people within the organization such as employees
and students to maximize their performance. Managing student attendance during lecture periods has
become a difficult challenge. The ability to compute the attendance percentage becomes a major task
as manual computation produces errors, and wastes a lot of time.
 Attendance management system deals with the maintenance of the student’s attendance details. It is
generates the attendance of the student on basis of presence in class. It is maintained on the daily basis
of their attendance. The staffs will be provided with the separate username & password to make the
student’s status. The staffs hand the particular subjects responsible to make the attendance for all
students. Only if the student present on that particular period, the attendance will be calculated. The
students attendance reports based on weekly and consolidate will be generated.
 This system will also help in generating reports and evaluating the attendance eligibility of a student.
The system is not only improving the work efficiency, students’study and development, but also can
save human and material resources.

6. IMPLEMENTATION DETAILS
PROBLEM DEFINITION:-This system developed will reduce the manual work
and avoid redundant data. By maintaining the attendance manually, then efficient
reports cannot be generated. The system can generate efficient weekly, consolidate
report based on the attendance. As the attendances are maintained in registers it has
been a tough task for admin and staff to maintain for long time. Instead the software
can keep long and retrieve the information when needed.
PROJECT OVERVIEW:-Attendance Management System basically has two main
modules for proper functioning
 Admin module is has rights for creating any new entry of faculty and student
details.
 User has rights of making daily attendance, generating report. Attendance report
can be taken by given details of student details, date, and class.

7. IMPLEMENTATION DETAILS
MODULE DESCRIPTION:-The system should be designed in such a way that
only authorized people should be allowed to access some particular modules. The
records should be modified by only administrators and no one else. The user should
always be in control of the application and not the vice versa. The user interface
should be consistent so that the user can handle the application with ease and speed.
The application should be visually, conceptually clear.
ADMINISTRATOR MODULE:-
• Student Details :-In this module deals with the allocation of roll no and personal
details for new batch. It will generate of personal details of student and academic
details of the students with the photos.

8. IMPLEMENTATION DETAILS
 Staff Details:-
 It helps to allot the subject and the subject code to the particular staffs.
 It provides the facility to have a user name and password to the staffs.
 Time table details:-
 It will retrieve the subject information from the subject database and assign time table to the staffs.
 It will help the admin, staff to make the entry of attendance based on the subject and period allotted
to the respective staff.
 Attendance details:-
 It will be makes to the attendance database all students. Entered attendance to store in the database
subject, period wise into the particular date.
 It will help s to the get report of weekly and consolidate of the attendance.
• Report details:-
Report can be taken by daily, weekly and consolidate:
 weekly report get all hour details of attendance starting date to ending date and display the status
 Consolidate report get all student attendance details starting date to ending date status help for the
eligibility criteria of the student to attend the examination.

STAFFS MODULE:-
 Attendance details:-
 It assists the staff to mark attendance to the students for their subject. This will
authenticate the staff before making the entry.
 Report details:-
1. Weekly report get particular hour details of attendance from starting date to
ending date and display the status.
2. Consolidate report get all student attendance details from starting date to ending
date status help for the eligibility criteria of the student to attend the examination.

 Finally, in the student attendance management system, the outcome of all
the hard work done for the attendance management system is here. It is
software that helps the user to work with the attendance, course update,
and report, etc. This software reduces the amount of manual data entry and
gives greater efficiency.
 The User Interface of it is very friendly and can be easily used by anyone.
It also decreases the amount of time taken to write details and other
modules. All the details about students, teachers, and their other tasks can
only be seen by the verified users. This Attendance Management System is
a solution to all the problems related to the attendance, courses taken by
the teachers and the students, etc.
• In the end, we can say that this software is performing all the tasks
accurately and is doing the work for which it is made and this system can
be implemented in N number of colleges and schools.
