Progress in Agriculture
• Covering 500 families under Drip irrigation
in DBI sites: 400 families in all the DBI’s
implemented by Pradan in Balliguda.
• Introduction of vegetable cultivation after
fruit tree plantation
• Alternate material for fencing are available
and can be mobilised through
convergence.

Learning
• Moving to high value crops motivate farmers-
vegetables and fruit tree plantation.
• Drip can enhance water use efficiency to great
extend, DBI is feasible in villages earlier
identified as not suitable.
• Fencing has been a major road block in
progressing first generations farmers to higher
level.
