2. You are given a task by the mayor of your hometown to evaluate and give suggestion on how to
plan the town in accordance with Local Agenda 21. Write a brief report on your evaluation and
suggestion.
EDUCATIONS
The educations system in my home town mostly are for higher education such as university.
Only one of the universities under government’s management. Other than that are privatization
university. Education system must be systematic and reliable for living purpose. We must try to
develop a new reliable system, such as from examination based system to long life learning and
application based system. This will help the youth to be more creative and can help to be
pioneers.

3. JOB AND OPPORTUNITIES
Here have a lot of job and their opportunities. There are various type of job that offered in this
town. Some in government department and some in private department. Mainly in this town are
in government department because this is the main town for this country. We also can help
improve business and connect the town to other area by producing resources to be export to other
parts of the country. This might increase the economic growth for the people.
TRANSPORTATION
In my hometown, there a a lot of public transport to bring people in this area of city. But there
have some problem with this public transport. As we know that the public make our job more
easy. For this situation, the location of station for public transport is not strategy. Many people
complaining hoe to go to the station by themselves. At least they need a transportation to do
catch the public transport. Then, they are rather to drive their own transportation.

4. Mobility is one of the main issues to be improvised. We can start by enhancing the public
transportation system by adding more route and path for a shorter commute for the people. Good
public transportation system will lead to more people usage percentage. Hence, this can help
reduce traffic congestion an help conserve the environment too.
GREEN BUILDING
Mostly building in this hometown are not in categories of green building. Because of all the
building in this town are made from concrete and steel. There is no background based on green
building index.
Then architects and engineers must try to develop a green building design before developing new
areas. We must try to use best management practices in construction to reduce energy
consumption, reduce waste production and optimize laborers and machineries to help saving the
environment.

5. POWER AND WATER SUPPLY
We need to use optimize system for this aspect. For example, housing area must use energy
saving applicants and lights. Industrial area must optimize machineries use and use labors to do
simple jobs to help reduce electricity usage. People nowadays become lazier due to enhancing
technologies. But to reduce electricity, we need to help by using our own energy too
GREEN AND PARKS
Local authorities have extensive environmental responsibilities and can initiate and support more
explicitly sustainable activities in areas such as waste reduction and recycling, management
of environmental media and nature conservation. These can involve protecting natural amenities
,resources, landscapes and habitats; promoting and catering for environmentally-friendly leisure
activities and facilities; and supplying information for users on how to achieve and maintain a
“greener” local environment.

6. SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
The sustainable development concept can be described as a desire for continuous maintenance
of adequate proportions between the need of development and the necessity of retaining natural
resources and protecting the natural environment, with none of the elements weakening with
time but giving stimulus to further actions. The system is prone to evolutional transformations
leading to reinforcement of development foundations. The essence of a region sustainable
development comes down to creating a new, durable potential that generates its own, internal
mechanism of evolution. The potential including resources, economical structure, as well as
value of regional space should favor creating new values, satisfy needs of regional and local
community and should not cause (or should eliminate) any negative side effects in the
surroundings.
